SUPER73 RX First Impressions!!! (Is it actually good?!)

Hey guys, this video is all about my first impressions of my new Super73 RX that I got a few weeks ago. Absolutely love the bike but just want to share with you some of the details others may have missed. I just picked mine up and am really enjoying it so far. It's my first e-bike and I got it for those reasons you mentioned - not having to register it or carry insurance, and most of the fun comes at the lower speeds 15mph - 30mph. I agree with you about the thumb throttle versus the twist, it definitely has the motorcycle aesthetics, would be nice if the throttle was a twist throttle. Great first impressions video!

I got rhino grey couple weeks ago.Is fun to ride but the first week that I got RX starting problems with display it seems like have foggy inside the display.They change a new display and couple days when I want charge the battery the charger it won’t charging they give me a new charge.Then next week of that when I want clean the bike and also the pedal I hear something weird sound.So back again to the shop that I’m buying it.The mechanic was open the pedal and inside that have the torque sensor cable it was almost broken.And now almost must waiting three weeks for get new torque sensor!!!!!Suoer 73 should focus on they quality they product before they delivered to costumer!!!

I know what you mean about the pedal assist. I have the Ariel Rider X Class and if you go higher than the first pedal assist it takes off as soon as you hit the pedal. It is off to the races. But at level one, it’s a workout and a half. Anyway, I didn’t buy it to pedal though, lol. - Good video.

Been doing dome research for ebikes for the last several months with my options coming down too Vamoof, Super 73 S2 or RX, and Onyx RCR. Sometime in 2021 I'd have an answer and a purchase.

With most controllers you can adjust the pedal assist have you tried this? If you can’t adjust it you can always purchase a programmable controller. You would actually get more performance also.

Nice looking bike! I feel like that open space in the frame is screaming for a large capacity battery. Like 60 amp hour because you have the space.

Just ordered. A rx super 73 n red I like to up grade to 10 speed cassett gears I also have a Rambo rebel bike on back they both should arrive. Around same time ive seen where people added front motor and hydraulic brakes i view my new rx as a blank canvas to upgrade to my style

Easily the coolest looking e-moped/bike with that faux gas tank battery. If they ever make a seat riser like the one the Juiced Hyperscorpion has available I might get one. The 32 inch seat height is just too low, wouldn't be able to pedal, and I'm only 5 10'.

I agree with a lot that you say about the bike but I just think it is ugly. That battery (tank) is hideous. I think they should have made the frame a little wider so they could put a little bit wider seat. I guess I just want it to look more like a dirt bike and not like a mini bike. I still like it.

They are gonna sell the fenders (good ones) seperated. Very funny.. The S2 is also not possible to ride if the is a tiny bit of water on the road. From my opinion you can’t sell a bike with this price without good fenders!

Curious do you ever get weird looks riding this style E bike on greenways or bike paths? Just curious because it does look more of a motorcycle/moped.

Yes sometimes but perfectly fine to ride them unless the bike path or trail specifically says no ebikes

Oh boy, super 73 claims another victim. Didn't do your research, $3,500 paperweight. Well you already spent the money so, I would just replace the electronic with top-shelf components, once they break. It's either that or go round and round with 73 for the next two years. They're very pretty bikes I can't take that away from them. But their track record is awful.

Which of the quality would you prefer? Juiced or this? Secondly: is this a cadence or a torque sensor system?

David Amuneke both bikes are actually really nice quality. The super73 rx seems like a step above the juiced bike though. Not sure what type of system but to me looks like a torque sensor.

Nice video bro.if you had a choice and do it all over again and money was not the issue.would u get the rx or the onyx rcr?a local dealer of mine is getting a red RX in October 1st and I got reserved on it.But I am hesitant on getting one and end up having motor issues like many others have.Have you gotten and motor issues,loss of throttle,or that crackling noise?.

Minh Sanity i would still get the bike I got for its versatility plus imo the rx looks cooler. I believe all the bikes being sold new now have the latest motor and have fixed many of the issues found at launch. I have the newest version motor as per my production date and have not had any noises or problems at all.

Minh Sanity no problem. And yes they are producing the v3 motors now. And I don’t know where on the motor to find what version it is, the only thing I have to go off of is the production dates.

causirico the handle bars can be removed with 4 bolts pretty easy. Just like how the bike is shipped.

Donolotti thanks so much. Just other 2 questions.... 🙏🏻. 1)On the site the Rx is described with “Gearing: Shimano 11-36T, 10 speed” but as you described I can’t see any gears. 2nd) what about charging ? Can you remove batteries to charge at home or you need to plug. Thanks again !!!

causirico the gears on their site are the options once it is available, otherwise ships without the gears. And yes the battery can be removed from the bike to charge inside.

I had a first gen and no good. If you stand and go over a big bump while accelerating it grinds gears. New version supposedly fixed that

Same here.. apparently the light manufacturer didn’t match their lights w the 48v system. SUPER73 is aware of this and is replacing via warranty the correct light.
