From what I understand, the pronunciation is "SUPE-RA-RÉ", rolling the r's, Italian style, not "SUPER RARE", but I've definitely heard it both ways. Italian for "Overcome". Love the channel bro. Big ups.

One could argue that the price point should score higher since being compared with mass produced gloves from Asia and that for gloves made in Italy In small batches the $200-$250 price point is actually very good and reasonable..good review though but these seem like a great deal considering
@csquaredboxing3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can see your point but I also look at it from a quality standpoint vs price. It could be made on Jupiter with asteroid dust but if the stitching is off and the wrist is unbalanced well then...
@bangarangbrand32673 жыл бұрын
I have a pair of these custom just like yours here and I like them better than my winnings so maybe I’m biased but my experience tells me they’re worth every penny and although mine doesn’t have one stitch out of place like yours which is annoying I think you harped on that a bit too much personally. I’ve had Reyes that needed to be replaced after 3 uses because of a defect but that doesn’t devalue their line of gloves or just makes that one glove the outlier no?

@@bangarangbrand3267 Your handwraps are awesome! I got the one Savage one with all the mouths, I really like the new challenger one too. I'm waiting on a pair of custom lace S50 in all red 16oz. I sent them an email but wanted to ask if you had an estimate on how long a 1 color custom would take? I know they are sold out of many 16oz right now. Yes the stitch was such a small thing he came back to it so many times! I would say OCD but that would be the kettle calling the pot black

it's always interesting to see a brand's model change as it goes up in weight. i'm curious if their 10/12 oz gloves carry that soft foam that's nice for sparring. since it was a 16 oz, perhaps that sponginess was appropriate? but if you got a 10oz and it was like that... ehhh, not so good (for me anyways). personally, one stitching flaw in a quality handmade glove is ok to me. the balance of the glove was pretty concerning to me. i guess if you want an all italian glove but can't/won't pay for dinardo then maybe it's a good option? assuming you're looking for something different that is... AND they made the improvements you talked about (one stitching flaw that's solely cosmetic is difficult to scrap a handmade glove made with fine italian materials. again that's just me. and if it's not handmade, not made of all quality italian materials, and not even made in italy... that's a COMPLETELY different story). The balance issue and the ambiguity of the foam at each weight is troubling. i've found what works for me right now. i won't change until i find something better. i do want dinardo's though as imo they're very special gloves. superrare just needs to bring something more to the table (for me). this point in time, i use 10oz reyes safetec and 8/10oz winning fight gloves for everything but sparring... where i'll use whatever i'm told to use or my 16oz necalli's. i fight in 8oz reyes safetec. winning provides that extra hand protection when i need it while reyes safetec provides the best feedback and power transfer of any foam glove i've ever used that doesn't risk harming your hands. reyes safetec has a long life compared to any other pro fight glove... save for winning. they last for multiple years taking heavy use. i like 16oz necalli to spar because they have nearly an inch of wrist support so light weight guys can use big 16oz gloves without problems and you get pretty good feedback without hurting anyone.

Nice video! Carlo. I come up with an idea about this “made in Italy Pakistan style gloves”. Maybe their craftsmen are based on Pakistan technology. Actually there is another company called: royalboxing based in Italy also produce Italy Made gloves. from their pictures on Ins, the leather of their gloves looks nice. But the stitching does need more attention. I also notice some off-line stitching on calf. Hopefully they could pay more attention to these details.

Superare’s basic one series glove is good price wise and quality. The problem with superare, imo, they dress up their basic one series gloves and then overcharge for them.
