I used to work in a call centre. One of our customers was Mark Williams. One time he called us and due to his name and accent I asked if it was him. He confirmed yes (I already knew it was him as our CRM told me but I asked anyway). We then proceeded to have a 30 minute conversation on 90s snooker. He’s a proper lovely bloke, down to earth and humble. I saw him as a sporting superstar but he treated me as his equal and was really friendly and respectful. I’ve loved him ever since

I really don’t know what to say. This was one of the greatest matches I have every witnessed on a snooker table. Ronnie is without doubt the greatest we will ever see. But please give a thought to the greatest entertainer on the snooker table. MARK WILLIAMS. These two get better with age. The accuracy and thinking on the table of MARK was absolutely STUNNING. PAUL HUNTER. Would be very proud of the standards of all the players in this MASTERS, which is held in his name. GOD BLESS. ❤️❤️🙏🙏📕📕

For an amatureplayer (more like few times a year) like me who is very interested in the angles of this game. And with todays camera why is it so damn hard to get a overhead view. Its kinda hard watching snooker predict a shot and it ends up targeting the one only ball you thought looked impossible to pot. Why do they keep insisting on theese wicked angles? In fact with todays format beeing widescreen it would be perfect flipped 90 degrees and overhead view! I can understand they used to do this but cmon is it the same old guys broadcasting now as in the early 80ies? Allways been a fan of Ronnie the rocket (less of a rocket theese days tho) but boy did Williams earn this one. Honestly thought he had more wins on Ronnie Mark is a very good player. That also tells you what a huge talent Ronnie has. He has been playing great at times but he doesnt play with the same confidence nor love for snooker as he had pre being off the scene/took a brake. The talent is there but thoose extra 20% over the top needs love to really glow i dont think he has much of that left im afraid. But still he manages to win some titles. And its only fair like this one the other guys get some piece of the action. I rather see a win based on a perfect opening rather than as a result of opposing players failure but when its even its usually the mistakes that makes you loose. To us can look simple but thats simply because its not. =)

Superb last frame today from these 2 players. Problem is when commentators try to be funny, and crack jokes when there's an important shot to play, which can unsettle the players, that's very unproffesional. And it needs TO be addressed !!!

@@owengardiner4628 yes, i did watch all the video, but whats your point, cus heres my point as a pool hustler for many years, and played with the greats, is that when your great at something, you dont show weakness or pressure to your opponent, and when the people giggle after the commentator says something that is funny to some, a player at the table uses that to compose and focus for the shot in question, and probaly like i would in that situation is have a giggle to myself to ease any tension that might be inplay at that given time, but to be honest ,the top players like these 2 dont fear anything but there own cue arm,the crowd dont bother them ,they feed off the crowd, the only thing that bothers players when its there shot is either someone coughing or breaking wind when there down on the shot about to hit it.
