Imagine the alternate universe where *this* was what resident evil became. Just think, a series of horror-themed action games. Would other games have copied it the same way they copied RE in our timeline? Would silent hill 2 have ended with James riposting pyramid head and doing cool katas with his sword? Would RE7 just be basically Bulletstorm? I'd play the version of Amnesia where you keep your sanity meter from slipping by doing crazy combos.

i dunno bro re4 remake is pretty whacky. you can knife parry minigun rounds and some of the mercenaries characters just play like character action game characters.
