I know it's a common complaint and all, but they knew about the FLEX acronym. They made an attempt to name the game as such but there was legal issues preventing them from using it, and rather than spending time and money to acquire the name they just used a different name instead because resources were limited. They legitimately couldn't name it that.

Hope Fighting EX Layer gets a crowdfund campaign going to help support it like Skullgirls did if it doesn't make its money back. Unlike Capcom who releases fighting games lacking content because they're lazy, Arika had way less budget and assets to work with. I know that doesn't excuse the high price but this game is a huge risk for Arika and its too good to let die.

Honestly, I've heard literally nothing offensive about this game. That's pretty impressive for a fighting game to me. I'm not too into fightinggames to the point I'd buy all of the ones that come out, but you can bet I'm recommending all of my friends to check it this one out.

I super dig the idea of the Gougi system since it shakes up the game, but apparently some people thought it'd be as bad as the gem system from SFxT? I don't see how since, obviously, no money is spent on them, and they don't break the game like the gems did?

Sanodi21 No one really knew how the GOUGI system worked until the loke tests started, so people were right to worry. So far, FEXL has avoided the three big pitfalls that SFxT bumbled into - GOUGI selection is simple, none of them give abilities that split the game in half, and the game wasn't kneecapped to drive people to buy more GOUGI. (People who liked the beta might argue that last point, but the game is basically still a good SFEX game.)

I was watching dexter earlier and in the background their were a bunch of arcades. Sf2 , mk1 and time crisis 3. But there was a game that I knew but couldn't place in my mind. Hayate isn't a new character. He was only in EX2 and EX2+ (PS1 ver.). The one in the EX games was an ancient feudal era samurai who eventually becomes Garuda. The Hayate in FLEX is his modern day decedent.

Am I the only one who thinks this game looks amazing? Graphically I mean, and even animation-wise. The backgrounds are fantastic, the models are awesome, and many of the animations are wonky but that has its own charm that takes nothing away from the game (actually adds to the fun and enjoyability[?] imo). Many other animations look really good too.
