What size drill bit? What torque on the clamping bolts? A 9mm Torx wrench is needed for the small control screws.

What is the offset in height and distance to rider compared to the OEM bars?

I'm seriously thinking about this swap for my R1200RS. Looks to be pretty straightforward, with the exception of having to drill holes in the bar. Suggest bar come predrilled?

This is an opportunity rotate the controls so the directional switch is operable with the thumb while the clutch is in. Stock, to me is too far up.

Are the drilled holes just clearance or do they need to be sized for the screw threads ?

You drill the holes in order to fasten the grips/switch units with a screw (same as on the original tube).
