Originally named California Superbike School I believe. Keith published a few books too like 'A Twist Of The Wrist'. Smart guy. Led a new small industry of such schools.

One thing that's important today more so than years ago the bikes makers are all building good turning motorbikes,sharp handling,so proper technique is good to learn cause small movements are more critical on better turning bikes.that was not such a problem when bikes were stout on the entrance,now all the sport bike are more race bike than a stable sport street bike,gone...say more of pro level turning geometry,they go excactly where you put them easily so it's more important to be in the proper position so the bike doesn't leave you behind in a corner,always learning with open ears,eyes when your buttee is on the line you tend to learn faster...may be even listen a little better,good stuff I read Keith's book and loved it,simple and straight forward,and then I went to Pocono,PA and won 50 dollars for a third place in open class on 750,and was leading the race and didn't even know it till it was over.thanks Keith.best part of the book,was that peripheral attention exercise where you move it around the room,focused straight ahead,I was able to slow my perception of the chicane at 150mph down to slow motion say what felt like 20mph,wow that worked good.and those 100 foot red and white stripes on the walls helped too.The exercise may me see the track thru a fish eye lens so I was always aware of excactly where I was position wise on the track and no longer took attention away from working the controls,made life more fun,and safer,a super bike pro racer told me to get your book,actually two of em did,that right there say plenty,and I'm not much of a reader.but I think I read it ,and absorbed it 15 or 20 times before my first race.Going cold to my first race at least I had some help on my side and didn't get killed,no serious I really appreciate your teaching and commitment,Dr.Cyclepath out.. Thanks again...

One thing I always keep in my head no matter how good I think I am I'm always ready to learn more,you never stop learning,because it isn't till you do it that it becomes yours,and then you learn more,once you clear a spot,by finishing one thing then on to the next...

I took the Keith's SBK school at Laguna Secca in 05. Absolutely brilliant, loved every second of it. I'd also read all of the books, so it was cool to meet the man behind it.

when you in the corner do you have to counter steering?
@CraigPerry
@CraigPerry 9 жыл бұрын
Not once you're in the corner. lookup Keith codes twist of the wrist on KZbin. near the beginning he uses the "no bs" bike as he calls it and maintains the turn using only good throttle control
@JesusFerbrando
@JesusFerbrando 8 жыл бұрын
At the turn-in/tip-in point that you choose when approaching the corner. If you check out the Twist of the Wrist II documentary on here, Code talks about using a single steering input to essentially "flick" the bike into the corner to the apex.

12 minutes in, still waiting for good information... FFS, If I wanted to watch people ride around a track, I would watch a race... Thanks for the vid, but this more like an advert for the school than an actually useful lesson.
