It so apparent from her audition that she was above all the other dancers. I love watching her dance!! Miss you Melanie! -3

I love that Melanie came up with the "Cracks" solo 5 minutes before she was due onstage, and it ended up becoming one of the best solo (if not THE best) in So You Think You Can Dance history.

There are so so many things I love about Melanie, but it's especially that in her solos she doesn't feel like she needs to cram in as many "tricks" as possible to entertain the audience - the "tricks" she does have, i.e. walking on her metatarsals, tilts into roll, etc., are timed to perfectly to have the biggest artistic impact. Her artistry is beyond insane. She's the definition of an artist, and of an entertainer.

I agree 100% she knows when to do a trick to be as dynamic as possible and when to show off her amazing technique. sometimes its not all about tricks and she knows that for sure,

She is like watching an angel dance - there is so much light around her. She moves me to tears everytime I watch her. There are no words to adequately express how gorgeous she is. It is like a total spiritual experience watching her. Thank you Melanie for sharing your incredible talent with us!!

ive seen alot of dancers, but ive never seen one that cause chills up and down my spine. dancing is never just about what you can do but how you do it. she puts passion in her dancing, in ever inch of her body. she allows the audience to feel what she feels to experience what she experience. the emotions she portrays in her dancing is what makes her real. i respect that

I love so many things about Melanie. She has incredible form yes and is technically brillant but it is so much more than that. She is so graceful and fluid and dances with such elegance. When she dances it is like she is floating. She also dances with such emotion. You can feel everything. Finally, her musicality is terrific. The music becomes part of her dancing in the best way. This is why to me she is hands down the best dancer they have ever had.

@coffeetea720 I know! Didn't Nigel say that he thought it was one of the best solos ever? That's high praise coming from him. All of her solos were amazing, but that one in particular is astounding! And it would be even without the fact that she made it up just before she went out on stage!

I know nothing about dance or moves or the technicalities of it all, but Melanie is truly inspirational. The way she bends her legs or falls or points her feet. It's like she's a rubber band or something, I don't get it. It's so beautiful.

melanie is very good. in my opinion: sasha M (season8) melanine, allison, kathryn m, lauren frodman, lauren G, Katie (season 4), ellenore (season 6) kayla (season 5) and jeanine (season 5) are the best female dancers on so you think you can dance USA. For the guys i think travis wall (season 2) and Jakob Kar(season 6) are the best ever. Billie (season 6), Neil (season 3), danny (season 3), brandon (season 5), ade (season 5), alex wong (season 7), kent boyd (season 7) are also the best.
