8) Atom's Bulwark can spawn as either an arm piece (below lvl 40) or chest piece (lvl 40+) 7) Champion Armor is metal armor, not combat. I'm sure you probably realized the mistake in editing, but I just wanted to clarify for anybody in comments who might get confused 9/6/2) Commando/Overseer's/Freefall armor sets can all be work together without the need to mix and match pieces. Each set is comprised of 2 pieces of combat armor and together all 3 sets comprise a full 6 piece combat armor set

@12:20 - you should also stock up on the chem Jet Fuel, which increases your max AP by 35, and increases your AP recovery rate. Also, the food item Mirelurk Egg Omelette gives you 50 AP instantly, plus 45 HP, without the rads you get from Nuka Cola.

Didn’t mention the Silver Shroud it’s not a bad armor 15 resistance to humans and looks like a Pachuco suit comes with a hat and later the guy that wants it pays you to be his Silver Shroud hero and you fight crime in it and he builds you a silver Tommy Gun to go with it pretty cool, the suit is in Hubris Comics building at the top, the mannequin is wearing it

You will need a jet pack OR a trash bin/bucket and Bethesda physics to get the free fall legs...

Free fall alternatives can be looted randomly but can't be mixed with the free fall set, to decrease all fall damage. Also the Free fall legs spawn randomly the moment a player enters the room they are found in. To make sure to get two identical pieces like sturdy or heavy you need to quick save before entering the room. The line is drawn at the blown out wall, so best make a quick save right before jumping in. A Savegame inside the nuck is to late. And the free fall armor pieces will always have two different weights even if you managed to get two fitting variants (Combat Armor/sturdy/heavy) so don't bother with trying to get them with the same weight.

Personal favorite combination is Atoms Bullwark (Chest piece after Level 40) the Overseers right and left arm as the Freefall Legs as a heavy variant. Brat alternative to Powe Armor. If one uses Creation Club the Captain Cosmos suit does the same with increasing jump hight ability as mods to be unlocked. The same Creation grants the only not mod way to get a power armor Jetpack without high intelligence or going the BOS Quest-Line. You can find two sets of full Captain Cosmos sets as a reward in the dungeon or get it as a random piece from the captain cosmos Game exchange automats in front of hubris comics or the radio station of Rex Goodman (only added in with the creation).

Only arm pieces can be far as I know.

Arms and legs, I don't believe chest does without mods for some reason

Arms, legs, helmet. It's still the best chest piece for a melee build hands down.

I think it’s intentional that you can’t put chest armor over Grognak to play on the joke that Conan is always bare chested in Frank Frazzeta Art.

I think its hilarious that Far Harbor added the Marine Combat Armor. It's weakest form (Zealot's) is superior to Heavy Combat Armor and can be easily acquired by simply traveling to Far Harbor, finding the Nucleus, and killing Grand Zealot Richter and the other 2 zealots outside the base. Given that none of them wear helmets, a round of VATS headshots with a sufficiently powerful weapon can net you 3 sets of the objectively best non-PA armor set in the game

What's the deal with the arm pieces? Shoulders look so weird.

@@SimonHendry-w5x I admit they do look a little weird, but the look has grown on me. Those pouches all over the armor serve no apparent function, as they are there even if you don't have the pocketed or deep pocketed mods installed.

It's kind of funny, well, at least to me. I have used V.A.T.S. in this game once and never used it again. It took too much time to specifically target targets when I could mow them down three times faster without using that perk.

I use t3 leg and arm vats refresh, t3 chest and arm vats cost reduction and t3 leg agil perception plus one. All combat. Can't find no synth versions. Works great. Im level 101 currently.
