While it does roar lie a jet, they make it have a ear hurting 120 db siren I see as a way to hold back electric cars, since they are so quiet. The point is it took and electric car - with power not affected by altitude (cooling is a problem) to break the record.

The car was pretty obviously inspired by the RedBull X2010 and some Lamborghinis, two things that i like. But they decided to stuff in more things, totally unnecessary, in a randomic way.

The wheelbase feels a little bit too long and the some lines of the car is just put together, like the region above the rear wheel is curvy while the most of the car is sharp lining....not to mention the ugly two "ears" on the F1 style rear wing.....The linkage of the hood section is also looks kinda weak for a 1200 bhp car

I'm glad it will. Peaceful neighborhoods are what most of society wants. Less noise may mean that some of the energy is converted to usable energy. Why would someone need an exhaust especially if the car is in use during the winter. With electric cars, people don't have to wait as much for the car to warm up, especially during the winter season. In addition to that, you can spend some of the money you typically spend on fuel on something else, which in other words you'll have a better annual budget because recharging an electric car could just join with your PEPCO bill. If you want to stick with your gas powered vehicle, well suit yourself on paying a huge amount of money just to use it.

Steering wheel with remote control, pretty cool. Looks like a bat-mobile from behind :-) Quick side note, 1,4 MW is not 1250 hp, more like 1900 hp. Maybe there are a lot of losses on the way from the battery to the motors? 6 motors with 300-ish hp each would suggest 1800 hp but maybe they can't all be at full power simultaneously?
