I disagree. The car in front had an unexpected checkup mid-corner then after that he's just trying to avoid creating a road block. Racing incident.
@vesnabernjak-ord8674 Жыл бұрын
I disagree, if he got injured or died would you say the same thing? If I see you on the news and the article about you says “man trying to overtake rolls and breaks arm” I’m gonna say the same thing you did.

that's kind of a fabian coulthard-esque rollover

not even close. these cars are designed to fall apart, Fabian's was not. he was also going near 300kph

That is a fantastic design! Glad the lad was okay. I've been in a flipped car once and it's terrifying (just one half-roll, but that was half a roll I never want to repeat)! We have a support race in BTCC - was called Ginetta Juniors but I think they renamed it this year. It's for 14-17 year-olds (a certain Brit on the F1 grid started car racing in it - those kids are amazing! Some of them drive better, and more considerately - without losing any "raciness" - than some of the adults in the "bigger" classes). As you can imagine, safety is paramount in every class on the ticket, but for teens (especially as some of the rookies probably won't even have sat in a car - to drive that is - before the first practice session of the year. Damon Hill's son Josh did just that), it's first, last, and everything in-between. The cars are like little sports cars (not _that_ little) but the bodywork does just as in this video in case of any big enough impact, and it pops off to help take some of the impact away from the nut behind the 5th wheel. Ginetta even support the teams, with parts and assistance, who basically hire the cars from them for a year. It's about as cheap a way to start car racing and probably the safest. I'd say that the class in this video looks to be much the same concept, though totally different to look at. It's easier on the spectators' nerves (esp if there are youngsters in the car and you're a worrywart mum... They don't need to be your kids either!) if we can see just how good the safety cell is. That's a terrific design and those who designed and built it should be very proud of themselves.o

good to see he's OK. those small cars do some crazy things

No worse than your average sprint/midget car rollover. The clip-on bodywork flying off of these toy cars is what makes it look so dramatic.

@not today well he didn’t exactly do it on purpose. Sometimes you spin people on accident, get that in your head.
@vesnabernjak-ord8674 Жыл бұрын
@not today as I said, you accidentally spin people when overtaking.
@vesnabernjak-ord8674 Жыл бұрын
@not today watch the replay, look in the Bathurst 12 hour something similar happened when a car tried overtaking, went on the marbles and got turned. Things happen on accident you refuse to believe accidents happen.
@vesnabernjak-ord8674 Жыл бұрын
@not today will you watch the replay? The car that caused him to flip also was on the outside and he got turn because he was on a *TURN*. I call this “accidental spins” and good examples of accidental spins happen in gran turismo when your counter steering and another car spins you. Let’s go back to real life, he was probably counter steering because the car was gonna go off the track. It takes that one moment of counter steering for a accident spin to happen.
@vesnabernjak-ord8674 Жыл бұрын
@not today oh and another thing. Sometimes it’s not turning and simply accidental contact.
