The V8 would have been nice but the turbocharged mx5 engine will still be a quick little car and handle great. The jag engine in the transit is a win for me.❤

Looks as though serious compromises are going to be needed if that lump is to go in the front end. Fiat twin cam engine is a better bet.

I am not using the V8 way too much work to fit! Still keeping the turbo mx5 engine. The V8 is going into my Transit.

Yeah the minor has a much wider engine bay compared to the mx5. I am sticking with the turbo mx5 engine and keeping the v8 for the transit build.

@@passthegrinder I'm sure you already know this, the gearbox uses a canbus ECU, it needs every sensor right down to the abs, I used a s-type diesel 6speed manual gearbox for my build with a stand alone ecu, I was at the point of sorting a clutch/ flywheel when the charger lost its ceramic coating and totally FUBAR'd the engine, so now I'm doing something similar to you. I'm still driving my mx5 ATM until the ECU is ready to be plugged in. I have a load of Jag engine spares if you want/ need them they'll just need to be collected from Barnsley. I also have the manual gearbox too, all collecting dust

@@paulbugbuuld3463 I have kept every part of the jag that is needed to do the conversion. I will be fitting the whole loom all the running gear and possibly the whole dash into the transit. So hopefully all the electrical brains will still think it’s a jag! Thanks for the offer unfortunately I am miles away down in Bournemouth.

Would be nice to fit the v8 but I have plans to fit that into my transit van.
