The car is actually a VE running a VF front end and powered by a GM Motorsport Built & Tuned Blown Injected Dry Sumped LY6 Cast Block and CNC Heads. And with a Rev limiter north of 8,000rpm this weapon will certainly be taking its fair share of podium finishes this year.
With a cracking skid during qualifying which saw Rick secure a spot in the Top 10 Finals alongside his other car "LSONE", the ute didn't want to play the game with a faulty Throttle Position Sensor causing the car to falter on the Start Line and part way through the Finals Skid.
