Love your honesty in all your videos, if I lived in Victoria would get my work and tuning done at your shop for sure.

Awesome build stathi, going to be a handful on the track I can't wait to see it et. Now give yourself the rest of the weekends off before Xmas 😅

I love listening to you mate. Your knowledge is next level. Cant wait to get that cam on my vf!

Well done for getting it sorted, tuning cars is not an easy thing, although a lot of keyboard warriors think it is. I have also been in these situations, but your time/ knowledge shouldn’t be written off. Tally them hours up and bill them out mate. Because not everyone can do this wizardry. Good skill ain’t cheap and cheap skill ain’t good 👍

Wicked video mate, always informative and open to your process's. No secrets, no bs just straight up facts about your work. Love your honesty and the fact you openly say you don't know everything, most people would be to "cool" to do so. Killer work mate, enjoy the weekends again

Thanks mate i appreciate your comment, we certainly do try to keep it real There is too much smoke and mirrors in this industry.

Well done buddy ,great work 👍...Your right the old tuning way/smarts etc spark plugs tell you everything especially the good old timing mark on the straps and the air-fuel ring marks , plug heat range on the threads .Love you videos Bud 👍

Hence why an efi manifold is superior to that old thing.

Ok my Xy Gt rep is nothing compared to the above . But 408 clevo 3 v heads , 11.24-1 compression . Comp 294 b cam. Funnel web manifold. Ok got through the specs for background. But with a 750 hp run in carb cylinders 1 and 5 are perfect af ratio by reading the plugs. Then 4 and 8 were quite lean and 4 rattled under load . Jetted up the rears 4 sizes to 86 and front 83. But with a carb there is always a compromise! The motor responded to the change. But yeah the uneven fuel delivery I think is just a function of those high rise style manifolds.

Absolutely the manifolds do create a issue

the problem your having with the wildly different distribution is due to that carby hat, i have seen it before.
@IndependentMotorsports9 ай бұрын
Absolutely is the problem. Future mods will be a different manifold
@turbotorana43369 ай бұрын
@@IndependentMotorsports not manifold it is the carby hat i have seen this a few times,

The angle of the air feed looks wrong , really wrong. If you are getting a ~45% difference in fuel between cylinders your air distribution is not working properly. David Freiberger on Engine Masters , often uses a Procharger on his small & big blocks , his setup has a hole drilled out of his charge pipe before the turndown into the intake. (~15mm diameter) I still don't understand it , but it works for him. He has also done a lot of work showing the difference that the hat design can make. There is a problem that needs to be fixed here , rather than being badly worked around with some lunatic fuel tables. How much pride do you take in your Trade ?

What you are saying is correct and the correct solution is to change a setup which we are in the process of doing. A smarter manifold and transition will solve most of the issues. The purpose of this video Is to showcase that everything is not always equal and you should always check and validate everything is working as it should, I have seen some of the best manifolds on the market have similar issues so the grass is not always greener on the other side. Do I take pride in my work? I think I've demonstrated very clearly my passion for what we do.
