True - but the downside of that is you put stress on the airconditioning joints. These are old cars now and it's possible to damage those joints which is why I always remove the aircon condenser for this reason.

You don't have to disturb the air conditioning. Just prop it up and move it aside.

You can indeed - though you risk putting strain on the aircon pipes which could be damaged as a result.
