UPDATE: Long Term Test....We have had our Superclamps now for over a year and have used them on all kinds of terrain. From high speed on the highway to some pretty nasty bush roads. They have held up awesome and are working good as they day we got them...solid well made product that we would highly recommend!

cubbeezx It would be nice to see a crash test with those. I'm sceptical holding on to 300 kg with plastic parts. I always use ratchet ties to feel secure. Takes maybe longer time, but I want to be really sure it's sturdy.
@cubbeezx
@cubbeezx 8 жыл бұрын
We've used them now for over 3 years and no issues at all! The rear clamps are made of metal and quite heavy. Can't say we've ever "crash tested" them personally.
@bert26a
@bert26a 7 жыл бұрын
I'm sure if they are DOT approved they have been crash tested. Can't be any worse than a $25 pack of ratchet straps made in China.

Thanks for sharing on how they work. I commented on these in another one of your clips when I saw you use them, and you said you were going to do a review..thank you. It looks like something I would be interested in purchasing for myself as we trailer our atvs all the time, and yes I get sick of the tie downs and worrying about popping a strap over a bump. Let us know how they hold up for you, and how they work in cold temps. Nice job on the advertising clip also, I hope co's have you do mor

Nice Review Guys! Is there an option to permanently mount the front pieces, so that you only have to store the rear ones in your truck? Forgive me, I'm a little late to the party here...been watching your videos for the last month and I'm still finding ones I haven't seen...Super videos by the way!

Rob Farrow Thanks Rob. The chocks in the front are designed to come off so not really sure you could permanently attach them. The folks at Superclamp might be able to help with that one. Thanks for spending the time checking out the videos...there are a lot! LOL

Ok, looks like it would take up a lot of space (bulky) inside my truck after i arrive at the trails and removed them from the trailer because of theft worries, plus I don't see how I can have my snowplow on if i needed it, also looks expensive. But, looks cool.
@cubbeezx
@cubbeezx 9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video. The Superclamps are the kind of "accessory" that once you have them, you wonder how you ever managed without them! Save so much time loading and unloading it is unbleivable. You're right though...if you have a snowplow on, don't think there is anyway it would work.

The only concern I would have about these clamps is that although they appear to prevent rolling forward and backward very well, would be side to side movement. I assume clamping them down as tightly as possible keeps them from sliding sideways. I'm also a bit skeptical about anything plastic or composite. Yes, many times it can be stronger than steel but steel will bend before it breaks, composite will crack and then can suddenly fail. That's why I hate composite racks on atvs like Polaris and Can-am use, prefer steel racks. When you see very heavy loads like a bulldozer on a semi-trailer for example, steel chains are used. But I guess the same can be said for tie-down straps, they can get frayed and snap. Happened once to me, the only thing keeping the atv on the trailer was the parking brake. Don't even have a trailer anymore, just haul in the back of the truck. Another great review from CK, always nice to see her on camera.
@cubbeezx
@cubbeezx 10 жыл бұрын
All good points Greg, but after using these now for a full year and taking them on all kinds of terrain we can honestly say they are amazing. They do not move at all, forward/sideways...ATV's are solid on the trailer. The clamps are really heavy and made of high quality material. No doubt anything can break but so far we have been really happy with them.
@gregrowe1168
@gregrowe1168 10 жыл бұрын
That's true, that's kind of why I like trailers with sides and a rear gate, just in case of worst case scenario. If something breaks, you're most likely not going to lose your machine off the trailer. Sounds like a great product and CK is a great salesperson, even if that wasn't the intent. If you test a product and find it to be good, then it passes my test. Another product I'll keep in mind if I ever purchase another trailer.
@joesmo2350
@joesmo2350 10 жыл бұрын
Yea there's a small possibility that the plastic could fail, but one of the rear holders is so strong, it could probably hold the atv on the trailer even if one breaks. And anything can happen, your trailer could break away from your truck, and then you damage your trailer, atvs, AND your truck.
@gregrowe1168
@gregrowe1168 10 жыл бұрын
The parking brake(if functioning correctly) or park in the transmission as many of the cvt trans have, will keep the atv from rolling back and forth, you just need that extra to keep it from sliding side to side. It does look like a solid product.

Hi, seeing as though your ATVs have licence plates on them does that mean it is legal for you guys to drive them on roads if you wanted to?
@JackG79
@JackG79 5 жыл бұрын
Idk how it is in the Province that they live in, in Canada.... but I live in NY State in the US. And I have a license plate on my ATV , and they mail me a registration renewal sticker each year that I pay the renewal fee. If your ATV is not registered and kept current in NY you cannot ride on any state trails amd most ATV clubs will not allow u to ride on their trails, or sign up for events. The plate does not allow the machine on public roadways here in NY It simply means that it is registered with my local DMV, and that it is insured. (Must be insured to be registered). I have heard that there are some places in New Foundland that allows ATVs on roads. And I think some US states may allow it if the machine is outfitted for it.. but a simple lice se plate does not grant that authority here in NY State
