I really don’t ship but there’re two exceptions, Lena and Kare are one of them. They played it so great and the story war written so shipping - it was truly a missed opportunity probably based on fear about some idiots in politics, station/dc and public. It’s really an absolute shame.

I actually remember someone explaining that part, using proper physics and nature's laws and math haha. It had something to do with her having to lift it from the inside (fighting gravity)? I honestly don't remember - I just know it actually made sense when they explained it, haha.

​@@mosovanhe I guess the sudden downward gravitational trajectory of both halves of the plane made it harder for Kara to get enough of a momentum to pull them both up. Meanwhile, Kara created Fort Ross' momentum from nothing, since it was just in the ground & she pushed it upward & kept it that way, from underneath it, giving Kara the dominant position of leading the gravitational trajectory upward. I suppose since the plane was charging forward, then suddenly went downward, Kara was fighting too much opposing gravity.
