In afterlife rickies character faces suicide but then changes his mind. This happened to me at about 29, i lost my daughter, my wife and my mother within 3 months and it broke me, i sat in a car with a pipe from the exhaust through a gap in the window listening to Metallicas Black album, i said to myself count to 3 and then switch the engine on, i was quite determined and not phased, i counted to 3 but....i simply didnt turn the key? I sat there feeling very strange and thought to myself, if i die now i can never have a spliff again, if i die now i could never meet a pretty girl and have sex again and then i noticed the song playing on the cd player, it was "nothing else matters" by metallica and i thought if i die now i could never listen to beautiful music ever again, after a silence i thought, thats sex, drugs and rock n roll!!! I burst out laughing and rolled another spliff, i thought just as ricky did in afterlife, go and enjoy all these things and see how it goes and if i feel the same way in the future i can always just just jump back in the car. I'm 60 now and so glad things how things panned out, the car has always been my default, rightfully or wrongly its worked for me, i live daily, i dont save, i dont plan, i wake up everyday and go and make myself happy, without harming anybody else in the process!!! Dont ever put life off till a later date, its far too precious!!! Have a great day all!!!

I've had a flirt with some dark thoughts but didn't get near your stte of mind. Glad you turned back. People can be angry at people like Ricky but the fact that anyone, left, right, centre, woke, anti woke, capitalist, socialist, whatever can change someone's mind from doing something bad is such a precious thing to hold on to. Teach kids that Humpty Dumpty was a large cannon…. It fell off a parapet due to the recoil when fired…..it was too heavy to reinstate the cannon to it’s original position…….it was never an egg.

Humpty Dumpty was the name given to a large cannon from the English Civil War 1642-49 in a fortification near Colchester Essex. It was used to bombard the Parliamentary (king’s army) forces. The fortification walls were hit badly during the war and the cannon eventually fell down. It was too heavy to be retrieved even using horses. Now when you hear the verse, it will paint a different picture The image of the egg, was first portrayed in the 1872 Lewis Carrol novel “through the looking glass “

I have always thought that the term "handicapped" referred to people who were born with conditions that couldn't be treated not people who were elderly and suffered from things like arthritis etc. I'm 70 and had a total knee replacement on my right knee and now it's time for the left knee. My friend has a similar condition but he refers to himself and I as handicapped which we are not.His condition was caused by a car knocking him off his bicycle..
