Tech Tip Tuesday: Do you need a race on your BMX forks?

Ive got a trail bike set up S$M credence. Would them light ass race forks fit? Are they really that much lighter than the odyssey r32's? I kinda want to do a hybrid race/trail an see if it lightens up the bike

So I have to buy a new headset anyways for my DK, when I go to a bmx bike shop & also tell them I need a Race. Will they know what im talking about?

You shouldn’t have to, if it’s 1 3/8” forks and frame. If it’s a tapered frame, you’ll have to get a new headset. The crown race will come with the headset

Jacob James yes, you need a full headset. Crown race, bottom bearing, top bearing, shim that goes into the top bearing, and dust cap that covers the top bearing
