Join us for a stay at Disney's POP Century Resort as we kick off summer 2023! I am bringing you along with a full tour of Disney's coolest value resort, themed to the 1950s-1990s, with big, bright, beautiful theming, including the giant Mickey Mouse telephone, Roger Rabbit, Lady & The Tramp and so much more! We explore Everything POP Shopping & Dining where we check out their huge selection of Disney parks merchandise and resort specific merch, they have so much and all the latest lines too! And of course we have lunch, dinner and breakfast in the food court, check out the arcade and more. We had some incredible afternoon storms, beautiful summer rain and glorious blazing sunsets! Enjoyed time in the Hippy Dippy Pool aka the 60's pool, and explored the entire resort, the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s buildings and theming, and enjoyed both daytime and nighttime views and strolls of the resort! Pop Century is my family's Disney home! It was the first resort we ever stayed at and just love it. We've stayed at Contemporary once, but actually missed this one! The skyliner is a huge deal for us too! Thanks, Jackie!

Pop Century was the first Disney resort my kids and wife stayed at. We were actually there the first weekend it was open. Now that our kids are grown, my wife and I have stayed here and really enjoyed the changes.

Wow that is so cool!! I love how they’ve stayed true to that funky, over the top style all over the resort grounds. Even though the rooms are plain and simple now, at least the rest of the resort is like being in a big, nostalgic cartoon world!

I remember staying here in like, oh geez I think it was 2012? I was 11 at the time so I don't remember much but I remember the outside of the hotel! I also saw a lizard for the first time and was very excited. It rained while I was there too and I was so disappointed I couldn't swim at the time I wanted to 😂 Thank you for bringing back such good memories and, of course, taking us along!

Thanks for visiting Pop Century Jackie :-) We love pop century! I booked it trying to save money, as a "value" hotel I assumed it would be the level of a Holiday Inn and just a place to sleep while we went to the parks, and it totally impressed us- we loved the updated rooms, the super comfy beds, the heated pool, the Disney TV, the Skyliner, all of the fun theming- even the convenient and affordable dining hall. It was a great experience! My daughter's favorite part of the whole trip was swimming the Hippie Dippie pool, no joke (in January, mind you!) Would definitely stay there again.

Great tour of the resort. I have stayed here a couple of times but never been back to see the 90’s and 80’s pool area. The Surfing Goofy area used to be a kids splash pad and now it is the campfire area. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jackie and Sam. I prefer a Pina Colada in the rain at Pop Century, instead of eating corn in the rain at Castaway Cay. I was thinking about the Yo-Yo weather, just before you were talking about the Yo-Yo weather. Everything looks amazing, even in the rain. All Goofy wants to do is catch a Wave. We stay at the Art of Animation because we like the two bedroom suites. We are a multigenerational family so it fits us perfectly. These value resorts are fantastic!

Back in the day,Pop Century was my favorite resort to stay at. It was a value resort but unlike the All-Star resorts, it had a dedicated bus stop. You could also get cheaper rooms by not saying near the pool which was double dipping for us because we didn't have kids and it was quieter as well.

My favorite value resort is All Star Movies. When I stay in one of those places, that's my go-to. But, when ASM isn't available, Pop Century is my second favorite. I have a DVC membership, but a couple of times we ran out of points for the year, so we visit a value resort. We like them! Our last stay at Pop Century was in 2020. The pandemic shut-down had JUST ended, and not a lot was open. We were very happy to stay there. It was VERY comfortable and reasonably quiet. The pool was great! It was fantastic to see it from your point of view. Great video.

Hi, your enthusiastic resort and room tours are very nice 😊 You really make people want to stay at the resort you show. POP is definitely a Disney resort to think about staying at. We thoughtcabout staying there, but chose its neighbor instead, but covid changed that andcwe stayed at a different resort. However, in my opinion all the Disney Resorts have their own attractions and amenities thatvpull people in to want to stay in a Disney resort. We stayed in a '90s room on the ground floor facing the parking lot. We had a rental car. We hopped in our car and took a quick drive around to the main building. When we got off the parks bus our car was right there in the main parking lot and drove around to our building. It saved that long walk.

Pop was the first resort we ever stayed at, too! 😍 That was, of course, before they installed the Skyliner…things are better now lol _although_ I am definitely one of the few that prefers carpeted hotel rooms, so I do miss that! The hard flooring definitely looks (and probably is) cleaner, but it’s a lot tougher on a set of tired feet after a long park day! 😜 We also stayed at Pop post-refurb with our family during the 50th and there was an amazing almond raspberry cheesecake in the food court that weirdly outperformed every other 50th snack for us. Don’t think it’s still there, but at the time it was almost worth the stay just for that! 😁 Sorry about the rain, but, at least you had the Pina Co-Lava to keep you company! Florida gonna Florida. Glad you made it back into the pool eventually ☺️ Great music choice, btw!!
