This was a very different kind of week for us with Hurricane Ian, so I just documented our experience of the storm passing over Florida while hunkered down at home. I just lost power in Disney springs this year I lived there with my youngest daughter and my young brothers I got nothing to do any tips for me Jackie I little scared of the dark this week anything else I can do this is Jenna Dabao

Jackie I want to applaud you and Sam for doing the right thing and staying home during this horrific hurricane. So many bloggers that I watch decided to check into a nearby Disney hotel claiming to be “trapped” And claiming “ damage” to hotels that never happened all for Clickbait and views occupying a space in a Disney hotel where people that are not from Florida who couldn’t fly out because there’s no airport to fly out of who were literally had nowhere else to go and certainly not a home nearby like these other bloggers have the option to stay at and instead they take up a space at a Disney hotel where employees were volunteering their time to help out displaced people who had nowhere else to go so Disney put them up there but these local vloggers have the audacity to take up a hotel room Instead of going home to their nearby house or apartment and then Vlog about it as if they were doing some thing wonderful and boast about how they got last meal kits So not only were they taking up a space at a hotel that they didn’t need but they were eating food at the hotel that they didn’t need meant for people who were displaced and for employees that were volunteering their time. So I want to thank you and another female vlogger that’s also a friend of yours that I happen to watch both of you decide to stay home as she did with her husband and her dog and didn’t try to take up space and a hotel either or use such a horrible disaster to profit off of . As of Monday afternoon, at least 100 people were killed by Hurricane Ian in Florida. Entire neighborhoods in Fort Myers, Naples and other southwestern Florida towns are wiped out. It’s not yet clear how many Floridians are now homeless. It honestly disgusts me what these other vloggers did during this time so thank you for doing the right thing and staying home and I’m glad you and Sam are safe! 💕

We road it through in North Fort Myers! It was like a freight train roaring past for about 12 hours . Power went out about 1:45 on Wednesday, then we lost water. Our beautiful community was brutally ravaged. Fortunately we had minimal damage. We toughed it out until Friday when we brought ourselves and still frozen food to our son in Wellington. Here we will stay until power and water is restored. It is so heartbreaking to see what people on the coast have endured. Never take a hot shower for granted, or being able to open the fridge and have a nice meal. Take a moment and thank God for what we have.😘

Jackie, so very glad that you both made it safely through hurricane Ian! I can’t imagine what it must be like to deal with a hurricane. I know you said living in Florida you’ve dealt with hurricanes all your life but it must be very nerve wracking every time one rolls through. Words can't describe how relieved that Ryan and yourself (and hopefully all your loved ones) were kept safe during this hurricane. Hurricanes hit NYC every now and then. When I worked at the hospital through Hurricane Sandy, it was a sobering experience of how much damage mother nature really can inflict with a snap of a finger. I remember vividly commuting to/from work with just a lantern as most of Lower East Side was evacuated. It was so creepy being the only person in my apartment complext as for 3 days I lived without power. It was so quiet, I could hear the wind pushing a squeaky business sign 4 blocks away. Fortunately my living space didn't suffer any damage but I know others who lived along the East River and Hudson that weren't allowed to come back for months due to the water damage. Thank you for being honest and not using a click bait approach. Yes ma'am the storm was bad and there are places that are suffering from this. But you are one of the only vloggers that I watch that didn't turn it into and experience that it really wasn't. I'm sure that you guys over in the Orlando Kissimmee area did have bad weather. However there are so many KZbinrs that are saying they were dead in the middle of a horrible storm. Yes they might have been but they were not in the eye of the storm and it was not a category 5 when it hit them. I'm so happy that I can watch someone who is honest. Much love Bartow Florida

I was in NY for hurricane Gloria in the 80s. I remember walking between buildings in the middle of it to get to a safer place. Thanks for sharing this you two. I was glued to this video. You guys are the best and I am glad you are now safe. STOP GOING OUTSIDE IN HURRICANES JACKIE!!!

I'm from Australia but currently in Florida and this was my first ever hurricane! I feel almost guilty because basically nothing at all happened in our area (Lake Nona). We didn't even lose power and I just enjoyed a good storm. But then I see how destructive it was in other places and it's a sombre reminder of how bad it can be.

We had screen damage on our pool lanai area but that’s all I know of. Hearts out to all that were displaced from the storm. I'm so glad you were all safe and made it through. My parents usually head down next week to their house in Englewood. Neighbors just checked on their house and no major damage except windows blown out, their screened in porch is gone and some siding off their house. Unfortunately, some of their neighbors houses are flattened and poor Manasota key is devastated. Completely gone. They are just above Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. I'm so glad you made it through safely.

@@SuperEnthused hello jackie, just wanted to give you a little information on the scam I got a text from the scammers saying it was you. The scam starts by saying that they want to give you an iPhone 14 for watching and supporting the channel. I told the scammer it wasn't necessary for them to give me an iPhone 14 I just like watching the channel. Then in the next sentence they ask for a gift card so they can take the channel to the next level. At that point anyone that's been watching Jackie's channel for any length of time should know that that's not jackie. So I played along with the scam and said why would you be offering me an iPhone 14 that cost $1,000 and then be asking me for money? I told the scammer I knew right away it wasn't Jackie and of course they stop texting. Jackie is there any way we can help to stop the scammers?

Just left the hospital in Kissimmee this morning after being A team for the hurricane. It was insane, but we had power the entire time. It was scary though... And the flooding 😳
