I remember going to the luau with my family as a young girl. Everyone sat together at long tables, and the food was delicious. The show was phenomenal. It was such a magical experience. Afterwards, I rode Space Mountain, which was brand spankin’ new and was a much faster and intense ride when it first opened. It was also more uncomfortable as two people (in your group) had to ride together and the one in the front had to sit between the legs of the one in the back. If you were by yourself, you sat with your legs stretched out in front of you. My advice: never eat your fill of rich food and then go on a roller coaster. That being said, it was definitely worth it and is one of my favorite memories!!

I hit Ohana hard and my stomach did not appreciate it for hours. I made a TikTok to commemorate my misery 🤣🤣. Don’t forget you can ask for to go boxes for the food you still have on the table! They are really small plastic containers but they work! 👍 left over noodles are the best! Love the video and thanks for bringing us on your date night!! ☺️

Spirit of Aloha was ALWAYS a "must do" on family vacations when I was young and later with my own kiddos😎It include ALL the Mai Tai's you could drink, and they were strong!🤣🤣🤣 Moved to Florida 24 years ago and still enjoyed it often💚

My family went to the Spirit of Aloha all the way back in 2003. It was our first family trip to WDW. We stayed at the Poly and did everything. Hoop Dee Doo, all the parks plus water parks. My youngest who is 22 was not even 4 when we went. Boy time flies. My trip back to the Poly in September is our first time staying there since 2003. What a beautiful property. Dreaming of the Polynesian.😎👍🏻🌴🌴

Another great blog ‘Jacki! We’ve been to Ohana for breakfast but have not been there yet for dinner. Other than the shrimp, everything looked really good. Ok , I ate at ohana in March for the first time. While I had a good time and excellent service I too was not a fan of the steak and or the shrimp. I also felt everything was salty for my taste. But omg the dessert holy crap was delicious!!!! You gotta have a good time and enjoy each experience the best you can. Love seeing Sam in your videos. You two are so cute and make a sweet couple!

You guys are so great together. Last time we ate at Ohana was in 2001 when you guys were probably still in school. They served the food on skewers at the table like a Brazilian restaurant. The kids ran round the tables chasing coconuts with brushes and yes we saw the show outside....memories

I'm glad you guys had a fun experience. My husband and I went there for the 1st time during the 1st week of March 2022 and it was a ghastly experience. The food was cold and bland, we were seated about 40 minutes after our reservation, and the only saving grace was the bread pudding at the end of the meal. Worst $300 some spent. :( I'm sure we just caught them on a bad night but we will not be back.

I did experience the Luau in 1978 with my family and again in '81 on my honeymoon. The food was really nothing special, as Pan-Asian cuisine had yet emerged on the scene. Offerings were the standard pork, fried rice and chow mein-type veggies. But the best part about the luau was the hard-working, fabulous performers! And the second time I was at the show, I recognized some performers from 3 years before. The area where the luau took place was serene and "secret", just like some spots in Hawaii. I suppose a trip to Aulani might be just the ticket to experience a true luau with the Disney flair. And surely the food offerings will be much more exciting as well! Again, your date night video of Ohana was so lovely and you and Sam truly made the Polynesian look as special as it always was, is and hopefully, will be
