@@sabrinas.79 I believe in previous interviews it was stated that Nomura is being given control over the direction of the product(The reason they forced him into the FF7 project when he was in the middle of KH3). While the writer will obviously get to write what happens, I think Nomura is in charge of the themes, and this seems to be a big motif for him recently. Do you know how much any given department or specific people will be controlling the scenarios of the game? I'm curious for more behind the scene details, and if you have refuting evidence I'd love to read more about this game's development.

@@firefliesowlcity12 pretty sure its been stated while Nomura is creative director he doesn't dictate what goes into the game, you could say he has influence but he still has to come to an agreement with the others, its been stated when the project was announced Nomura wanted the game to be more 1:1 while Nojima the writer and Kitase the producer thought that would be boring and wanted more change, the product we have now is them compromising together, so I think Nomura has enough self control to not just turn the FF7 into the Nomura show, maybe you could argue things like the whispers looking like Heartless was his idea but the fact it was put in would still be agreed upon by the others on the project and they aren't kiddy enough to just let nomura have full control and not question him

I now imagine that a remake of DoC might appear between Rebirth and Part 3. I was hoping that SE would do something outside of Ever Crisis to make the two major Compilation titles available for new/returning fans. Seems like that's what's happening. So Crisis Core could be this year (December) but is more likely going to be Jan-Mar of next year. Rebirth will probably be in a similar boat but straddling the line between end of 2023 and start of 2024. At the worse, could end up delayed just a couple of months and releasing around the 4th anniversary of Remake. Finally, where do you expect the subtitle "Redemption" to end up on? Part 3 or DoC?

@@dumbsterdives I guess it depends on how Rebirth and/or Part 3 choose to handle both Genesis and Weiss going forward. Since the Remake timeline is something between an alternative continuity and a full on sequel, the ending thread of DoC could possibly be resolved in some capacity in the coming parts. Part 2 will likely have quite a bit of Zack and possibly set up Genesis, so CC remake is a very good idea. DoC might be just as important contextually for Part 3.

Hey Buns idk if you'll see this, and it seems like the majority of the internet and FF fandom forgot about this, but Aitaikimochi actually translated ALL the FFVII related interviews since 2020 and earlier, and in one of them last year (shortly after Intergrade's release), Nomura talks about an early-life Sephiroth story that Nojima is writing thats going to coincide with the FFVII part of Ever Crisis. Its going to be epic! I've been waiting so many years to see more of Sephiroth's younger years. What he went through.

Okay, so I've seen people theorize that Tifa will die instead of Aerith in Rebirth. I think it is just more of Cloud's funky memories. Also, I think they'll probably add more of the timeline stuff as why his memories are so messed up rather than just a result of trauma and experiments like the original. I think Aerith will be more of the Yuna from FFX route, that she knows she will die as they progress and accepts it but in this instance tries to convince the others not to stop trying to change the future and THEN there will be some big change at the end that teases for part 3

He sounds a lot better in FF7 CC Reunion and FF7R Intermission than in FF7R. I believe he is pretty new in regards to voice acting and already got shit on after his first few lines in FF7R. The haters in this fandom could really give him a break. You can tell that he is trying his best. I also think people people are being too harsh. I understand if people prefer Rick Gomez, but saying he sounds like a spoiled brat is just rude and nostalgia speaking.

@@celineosthaus8032 most of the voice actors in FF7R were pretty new to VO work at the time, a lot of them came from Teen Wolf, Cody Christian (Cloud), Tyler Hoechlin (Sephiroth) and Gideon Emery (Biggs) were all from Teen Wolf (I guess the casting director loved Teen Wolf haha) For Cody (Cloud) and Briana White (Aerith) FF7R was their first ever works as a voice actor, not just in video games but in general.

The one thing that i noticed was this crisis core models are a bit weird but they will probably fix that. Overall, I am very excited and with my hopes up!! One more thing. The Japanese trailer for Rebirth has different dialogue. Cloud at the end says "5 years ago....did we come here together...? Zack...Where are you?" I think that there is no timeline stuff and this is just a Final Fantasy VII where Zack Fair survived and will eventually find Cloud and the gang. Thats my theory.

Also, about the 'three parts' for remake, the original game was 3 cd's, so I love that the FF7 'main' game is still 3 cd's even though remake is being sold as 3 separate games. Honestly at this point I do expect him to survive for awhile. My theory is if he becomes more involved in the plot later on he contributes to saving aerith from sephiroth, but maybe gets himself killed in the process.

You forget, Meteor was already revealed and DESTROYED in the final boss fight of Remake. If you read the Ultimanias (there are THREE, goddammit Nomura), you'd know that Sephiroth has pretty much mimiced Cloud's journey to reclaim his identity in this game. He lost that post og FF7, which is taken from On The Way To a Smile (pre-Advent Children novel); which is why he won so easily. There's a multi-hour analysis/theory of all the ultimanias and the ending on KZbin that I can link if you want lol. I uad no idea these were a thing till I watched that.

You can complain about Nomura all you want, but this is all FF7, its been fucky wucky day one. If they didn't kill the literal personification of a fantasy hands of fate trope I'd be worried, but we killed the singularity and are riding into the abyss and I'm here for it. If I had to complain about anything its that Ever Crisis won't be coming to PC and Console for the foreseeable future, and it might be fucked by microtransactions. If it were put on all consoles, and has healthy progression and fun combat, It'd 100% be a great ACTUAL remake (outside of the overworld map, which was already linear in the original but that's beside the point)

It’s deff the flashback scene since it happens right after they leave Midgar and go to Kalm. Probably what they have done so far. Ill bet they expect to have the whole thing done before next Christmas since they have the flashback done already. Guessing this game will go all the way to Costa del Sol but at this rate, no way they can finish the whole story in 3 games. Theirs just no way. I mean Gold Saucer at most but no way they could get all the way to Rocket town(Let alone even 3rd of the story) I Dunno. Im skeptical but hopeful at best. Its a big ass game. Thanks for listening.
