My Daughter's trying to decide on which Super fish model to get. She has the 57 Fluval Flex and isn't very happy with it I think she's outgrown the size ...I suggested the Super fish. 110. She seems to like it and enjoyed your video which is still having an impact. Well done Thanks Cedric

Love the new aquarium, I think the smaller one will be a good size for me to get because I'm planning on bringing my axolotls in from the pond for over the winter so I might get one in October. Awesome video as always 🙏 👍 󾓪

I think I have one of the earlier models - a superfish home 80. This new updated version has a nice addition... the cable-tidy idea is good. Cover glass removal is indeed fiddly... I also don't like the cover glass clips: way too easy to knock the clips off as you lift and move the cover glass forward (if you dont lift high enough, the clips snag the back glass and pull off - then drop into the tank... or worse; drop behind the tank) On the subject of the light/top construction... the worst aspect is that opening the top for maintenance aspects like gravel/filter cleaning and plant pruning, etc means that you lose the light and cannot see what you are doing very easily...close the lid to get the lighting back and the gap between the front glass top edge and the light/top unit is too small to get your arm in. Awkward. My solution was to use a wedge (a folded towel) and close the light down on this so that it sat at about 40 degrees open - allowing enough light to see and enough room to get my arm in. The filter/heater assembly is very visible as well - hard to hide with plants/decoration because it is dead centre on the side glass. It would have been better if it were mounted on the back glass, or much further back on the side glass - as it is on many other all-in-one setups from other manufacturers. The new aquarium design also has a very different led light system to mine. I hope this is more reliable than the system on the original: mine started to fail towards the end of year 1... individual leds would become much dimmer... eventually failing completely. First one... then another...then another... Not good. Especially as I had lost the receipt and couldn't make a warranty replacement request. Only other design issue: the tiny gap between the side glass and the plastic uprights joining the base plastic and top assembly. Very annoying if water spills between the glass/plastic...virtually impossible to clean/dry out because the gap is too small to slip anything in: I tried a long knife blade with some paper towel wrapped round it.- but it won't fit in. So there will always be a water mark visible on the side glass as you look into the aquarium from the front. Very annoying indeed. Apart from this... a very competent 'all-in-one' aquarium: simple to setup and use, in general. And the design (the wrap-around plastic construction incorporating a base unit) means you can place it on any surface that is strong enough to support the weight and reasonably even/flat. No need for bespoke cabinets and/or foam levelling mats to compensate for small surface irregularities.

All verry true Paul. I tend to lose the clips in the water by lifting it up to high and get stuck behind the light. Someone told me you can clips off the sides, never tried it thow. I removed the filter house, had no use for a heater so riped it out so that the fish have more space. The disign is good looking whise but maintenance is a pain. I'm looking at the Home 65 - I saw you took out the filter box, I think I will stuff some filter floss in there to stop anything getting stuck 👍👍

That is an option but I'm afraid it might become a anaerobic place in the tank. Let me know what your thoughts are

@@vertigoone-one-722 Ah, yes, I never thought of that - the water could stagnate just in that place 🤔 I haven't decided which aquarium kit yet, also looking at the Fluval Spec 60L (but it's difficult to find in the UK - maybe discontinued?? ).

@@genx156 I think I might go for sump filters or canister filters. Gets all the junk out of sight under in the cabinet and the filtration is way more efficiently I think. Gets water from one side and spits it out the other. No need to buy a new tank just invest in a canister filter and find a bigger tank on eBay without filtration. But ssssh no telling the misses 😋

@@vertigoone-one-722 Yes I had one of those mini canister filters years ago (I had to sell my 5 Aquariums & re-home my babies because I moved to Spain 😱) but I had it on a nano AquaOne cube - much easier to clean without disturbing the fish 👍. There seems to be more of the mini canisters available now from different manufacturers 😁

Is the axolotl okay living with the guppy’s? We are buying an axolot next week with the same aquarium that is Why I am looking at this chanel, but I would love to have Some guppy’s in the tank, however Some people say they don’t get along, what’s your opinion on that?

OH the guppys didn't bother the axelotl on the other hand my axelotl ate all the guppys 🤣😂

Would a cat be able to lift the glass lid? Or is it securely fixed?

If your cat is a bodybuilding sort of cat he might... The glass lid has some weight to it and sits in the tank so the cat will have a hard time getting in there. Mine sits on it from time to time and no problems what so ever

How to open the wire compartment?

There is a small lip at the bottom of the compartment that you push upwards and it all comes open. The tricky part is closing it. To much wire makes it hard. I would advise to just run the wires down true there and then tie them together where you can't see them behind the tank. It makes it way easier! If you put a blackout film on the back off the tank it makes the plants pop more and you have a harder time seeing the pumps and all 😉

Oh and if you want you can get the light off by pushing it a bit to one side and the get it out off the slot, then the other side and that will make it easier for hardscaping and maintenance aswell

Is een goeie als je het mij vraagt, vind enkel dat de bijgeleverde pomp wat sterk is. Vooral als je gevoelige planten of vissen hebt voor de stroom. Succes en hopelijk heb je geen vissen verloren

@@vertigoone-one-722 is helemaal goed gegaan. Was nog geen half emmertje water gelekt. Had flinke mazzel. Heb een hoop mensen die me vissen willen overnemen. Zit te denken aan stoppen man. Ik woon nog bij me ma en die vind de 110 te groot voor de woonkamer. En op me slaapkamer vind ik niet slim voor nachtrust en herrie. Had me juwelrio180 nu in een kamer boven staan keek er niet zo veel naar om door tijd en simpel omdat het boven staat. Ben nooit veel boven

@@thenameofthegame4037 is een beslissing dat alleen jij kan maken. Je kan ook je 60l houden en een deel van je vissen geven aan je vrienden. Ga voor een low maintenance setup met je 60l zou ik zeggen en hou er enkelen voor jezelf
