Superfish is proud to present the newest Koi Pro Combi Drum 30000! A modern high-tech filter with superb performance level. Which takes up limited amount of space and requires hardly any maintenance.
The core of this Koi Pro Combi filter is the drum. The drum cleans itself automatically with an incorporated high pressure pump. The Koi Pro combi drum has a large biofilter. Which can be equipped with floating bed media but also with Japanese mats. The biofilter has to be connected to a powerful air pump like the Superfish Koi-Flow 60. There is a 40 watt UV-C light inside the filter. The filter has a central control unit, which manages the maintenance and cleaning.
The Koi Pro combi drum is fitted with two 110 millimeter inlets and two 110 millimeter outlets. Enabling waterflow of 17,5 cubic meters per hour, and the filter is dust suitable for pumps up to 30 cubic’s.
The filter can be used in a Pump Fed setup as well as in a gravity setup. In this film we will demonstrate how to install the Pump Fed setup. The Koi Pro combi drum is a plug and play filter that requires little technical knowledge. First connect the pump to the inlet of the filter and connect the outlets, so that the water can flow back to the pond without obstruction. PVC sockets with rubber rings are very suitable for this job. In the same way connect the discharge of the drum with the sewer. Place the pump for flushing the drum and connect the air pump. Now the biological chamber can be filled. Here we use Japanese mats. Install the UV lamp by first placing the UV lamp in the tube, and then fitting it into the socket. Close the UV-C and pay attention to the wedge, which should be in the pocket position.
Put on the pump to fill the filter with water. So that the UV lamp won’t run dry. Now plug all appropriate sockets into the control box. See the indication in the control box. Power the control box, and switch it on. Check if the cleaning cycle works properly by holding the red button for ten seconds.
The filter is now completely installed. The system will run and keep itself clean automatically. When the drum gets clogged, the water level will rise and at a certain level, the float switch will activate the cleaning cycle. After which the water level will drop again. This cycle will repeat itself, over and over. In the beginning, the cycles can be short, less than 15 minutes. The reason for this is that the water still contains fine pollution. After a while, these cycles become longer, 20 to 30 minutes when the water is completely cleaned by the filter.
If something goes wrong and the water in the filter doesn’t drop after the cleaning cycle, the system automatically shuts down to prevent damage to the filter and all its components. Your Koi Pro combi drum requires hardly any maintenance and the pond water will be crystal clear, giving you all the time to enjoy your fish.
