I almost cried watching this…. My grandma recently claimed to dis own me because I chose to follow my dreams and become a mechanic when she wanted me to be a doctor. Same here, except slightly different My grandparents were never apart of my life (my grandparents on my mom’s side died before I was born and my grandparents on my dad’s side...one passed away before me (I think, he doesn’t share much about his family) and my grandmother is/was in a mental hospital (she sent us birthday cards for our like first 3 birthdays and that was it)) so yeah, it’s nice to have someone like this, even if you don’t know them She fills in that role for us and I like it, let’s me experience something I’ve never had
