Castor and Pollux aren't just siblings. They are the constellation gemini, the twins. I think that makes it extra ironic how both names ended up in your character concept.

I hope you enjoy PF2e. A word of caution: on the surface it looks very similiar to D&D (using many of the same words/names) but it plays surprisingly different and it's easy to fall into traps because of D&D habits.

Your character creation process seems to be effective, informative but not overly complex, it conveys what is absolutely necessary for the construction of a well-rounded character, which is something many struggle with. For that, I salute you.

Watching your process of character creation is really quite interesting. I love making characters in PF2E simply because of the amount of customization I feel can go into it. I've been playing a fighter in the system for nearly three years, and I love all the decisions I make each level to reflect where she's been on her journey. Also have a Rogue who has has taken the sorcerer dedication (this games version of multiclassing) and it's pretty simple to do if you end up messing around with that later. I hope you enjoy your game and can't wait for part 2 of this.

Based on your comments about multiclassing and politics: If you are looking to grow into a slick high charisma, political character don’t sleep on the dandy archetype.

That was really interesting! Advertised as a video on making a Pathfinder character, it was actually a video giving examples of how to create an effective pitch document for a campaign and how a Session Zero should work. As I have been weak in both skill sets, this was extremely useful! I imagine Zach is going to create art of the other two characters, knowing the way artists work. Please try to remember to show off the finished trio if you find a reason to bring up your Pathfinder campaign some time after they're done. His style is great, like a cross between the character designs for the animated series Arcane (the League of Legends one) and something from a stained glass window.

Thank you for not doing the most toxic PF2e thing: attacking 5e. It’s so hard to enjoy both systems - PF2e players often feel the need to smash 5e and tell you how stupid you are for liking it.

cool to see you testing out other systems! and excited to see that you've played the Dragon Age RPG, that's the game I run, though we made a bunch of little tweaks, mostly to the talent balancing so we are kind of playing an unofficial 1.5 edition.

I've been using Pathbuilder at the recommendation of my GM. Really is great, yeah. As for MotW - From what I've seen of it, and read of other games with the same... PbtA isn't so much a system or an SRD so let's go with family... I think MotW is one of the more prep-intensive of the PbtA games, so you don't get as much of the 'it takes about 30 minutes, tops, to prep for individual sessions' advantage a lot of PbtA usually has. I've not run it myself, but... It's _weird_ by PbtA standards as the fact that predesigned scenarios are available (and not in the sense the 'ok, depending on what your players do during setup, you'll want to decide what's going on on this island. Here are six options we've come up with, but if you want to come up with some yourself feel free' of Escape from Dino Island is a predesigned scenario) - I'm not about to say that it's more trad than most PbtA games, but it's one of the Gen I PbtA games, and I think that shows when it comes to how much prep it seems to want you to do as a GM.

I find that the worst part of PF2e is the base/official character sheet. Whoever designed it should be executed for how terrible it is to look at... Let alone read. No one should use it. There's a billion noneyebleeding ones out there that are better formatted and don't stab your eyes out.

@ZeoR95
@ZeoR95 Жыл бұрын
My PF2e nerd brain wants to see the sheet now! Great to hear that you seem focused on the fact that it's a team game, it absolutely is! As a tip, make sure someone is trained in the Medicine skill, the encounter balancing pretty much assumes that the party is able to start all encounters at or near full HP, and the skill is a big part of it!
