This is the episode and particularly that stretch of scenes between Lena and Supergirl that made me dislike Lena. First, you don't hurt Kara like that. I don't care how pretty or smart Lena is, you just don't hurt Kara period. Yeah, she's hurting but if Lena had any measure of an emotional IQ or emotional awareness past that of a 6yo she would see that what she's doing is beyond the pale.

@@embrya26 I mean finding out that someone you love promise you that they won't be like the rest then they turn out just like them will make you act out irrational. As much as I hate seeing Kara and Lena hurt, I feel this was necessary for Lena to get out because we always use to her being cool and calculated all the time and it shows us how much she does care about Kara and their friends more than anyone else. Also, you also have to think that Lex is the one who told her not Kara so therefore, Lex, being the manipulated dickhead he is, used that and slowly twisted it and put that false information in Lena's head and shattering her soul, hence why it's the fight for Lena's soul this season. Lena is good and she proves that countless times even the plan she haves is almost similar to Kara's aunt Astra and she managed to have a redemption arc(only for a small part cuz she died) so hopefully, Lena gets a chance too and not die

After seeing the Supercorp confrontation scene I am certain of three things: 1) This scene is one of the most emotional scenes I've ever watched on this show. It's right up there with the "Reveal" scene in 5x01, Kara confronting the hologram of her mother in 1x08, Alex confessing to Kara that she killed Astra and Kara forgiving her in 1x15, Kara breaking down in tears after the Red Kryptonite fallout in 1x16, and Supergirl dying as Alex regained her memories of her/their reunion as Supergirl lived in 4x21. I also thought the scene where Lena found out that Kara is Supergirl in 4x22 and the scene where Lena used the VR to see her mother again with her younger self was very powerful too. 2) Melissa and Katie really did such a PHENOMENAL job with their acting performance once again, especially Katie. I didn't think anything could top the "Reveal" scene in 5x01 but I was wrong. Whereas Mel really outsold the reveal scene while Katie held her own w/ her in 5x01, Katie outsold the confrontation scene here while Mel held her own w/ her in 5x07. They have such amazing on-screen chemistry and this proves to me that Katie is Melissa's best scene partner as well as Chyler. I will say Chyler first as Mel and Chyler have worked together since day 1 and they really are the heart of the show as Kara and Alex. Katie comes a very close second as Mel's best scene partner as they worked together for a long time too and they always bring their "A" game when working together. I could add David to the list of actors Mel work so well with as they worked together since day 1 and have great acting chemistry. 3) Kara and Lena is one of the best character dynamics on the show, right after Kara and Alex who are the heart of the show as I stated above. For me, both play such an important part in Kara's story and each represent a special part in her life. No matter what anyone thinks of Supercorp, whether a person ships them romantically, or only see it as friendship, or see them as the next "Clark and Lex", no one can deny that Kara and Lena are one of the most important character dynamics on the show and they play a significant part in each other's story arc respectively, jmho.

@@blissinchains I never said they are and I am not foolish enough to believe they'll ever be canon. Like I said in the 3rd paragraph...there are some people who ship them in the romantic sense (I fall into this category but I also love their friendship), some who see it as strictly friendship (which is fine) and some who see their dynamic as like Clark and Lex (which you fall into this category). I won't get into a heated debate about this as everyone has their own opinions. You have yours and I have mine. Besides this is fiction and people are free to interpret however they see Kara and Lena's relationship. You see them going down a similar path to Clark and Lex on Smallville. That's fine. As much as I hope the writers won't go there, I wouldn't be surprised if they do as most writers nowadays are predictable and lack originality but I digress. I am strongly aware of the possibility of Kara and Lena becoming enemies like Clark and Lex but then again there's always a possibility they won't so let's hold off on the assumption and wait and see. Lastly as I mentioned in the 3rd paragraph, no matter how people interpret their dynamic, it doesn't take away from the fact that they are one of the best character dynamics on the show and an important one.

okay so here's my take on the supercorp scene: lena has never shown that level of vulnerability with anyone in the show period. for her to allow herself to break down, cry, and scream at Kara, there has to still be some level of trust there. not to mention throwing herself off a cliff knowing full well kara would catch her. also, that scene was low key a love confession because lena admitted that she killed lex specifically for kara. "i killed my own brother for you". so yes, she's deeply hurt and angry, but she 1. wouldn't be that angry if she didn't deeply care about kara, and 2. still trusts and cares about kara deep down and i think the next episode is going to showcase that. (plus, the amount of sexual tension in that scene i mean come on)

Katie's acting is so honest and you can feel it. I cried for Lena and Kara because honestly this felt like a couple breaking up. The writers need to make them endgame with all the chemistry between Lena and Kara and the scenes between them scream more than friends.

The parallel between Morgana Pendragon and Lena Luthor is so strong. And Merlin with Kara. Loving the acting peformance and emotions invested. I hope Lena does not have a pathetic end like Morgana tho. At least have a redemption arc later on or in the next season.

Your reactions are so cathartic for me. I'm butch, and I was watching this with someone who is clearly not on my level of investment, so, yeah... Viewing alone I'm MORE. When Kara asked why didn't you come to me when you found out, I couldn't help it. I yelled, When You Found Out Why Didn't You Go To HER! I pulled bit together. There were gasps, and times I wanted to reach for the screen but didn't. You said "conflicted", and that was so right. Of course I didn't want this but it had to happen. I love Kara. But when Lena SAID, "I'm not a villain. You shouldn't have treated me like one.", then turned and walked away. 💀I was dead. I died with the vision of Kara, in Kryptonite, hurting, but more than from the K. Lena was never her Kryptonite, because Lena was her joy and inspiration. LOSING LENA was her Kryptonite. That's why she could never face it. That was her "fire coursing through your veins" feeling.

I’ve never cried over a tv show, and this scene just broke me. I have no words for how much I was feeling at every word being said out of Lenas mouth. I personally think some of the boxes I her finally exploded but those were the tiny ones, and I feel the farther we go into the season the bigger the boxes we see unfold and the more emotional Lena gets. This season is gonna be one hell of a ride and to be honest I can’t wait!!! When I first started watching the show I thought that it was just another corny superhero show where the bad guys always lose, and there wasn’t going to be any depth to the characters, to the show. I was so ver wrong. I fell in love after the first episode. As the seasons went on I found out that supercorp was a real thing and going back and looking at some of those scenes, to me it’s just undeniable. I would be even more heartbroken than now that at the end of this season their relationship isn’t the strongest it has ver been cause this is gonna be a fight for Lena. Not just for her trust and her walks being slowly broken again, but a fight for her soul and I knew the second that she left with myriad that they were gonna start calling her a ”real Luthor” and Kara is always gonna be there to defend her even though she knows Lena probably hates her more than anyone right now. She would take a kryptonite bullet for Lena, even though Lena hates her. That is the purest form of love a show can give. I know they’ll come out stronger than ever (hopefully with a kiss) but they’ll never be able to live without each other for long. Long live supercorp!!!!!

That episode was like a sword thru my supercorp heart! I mean Katie/lena and Melissa/kara delivered, their chemistry is undeniable and just off the charts. I totally understand where both of them are coming from and it was great for them to let it out but I'm scared about what lena is going to do next especially with hope sort of controlling her actions in a way. 😭 This episode came for my emotions all over the place. But, like, where was Nia? Did they just leave her at Catco to work her day job? Interesting takeaway would be if we could get a Martian/Dreamer team up to help Lena see Kara's perspective of their friendship similar to the Matian bond thing that J'onn and Malefic did. 😖 2 weeks is such a long time after an episode like this.
