Yeah! It's not about exhibiting 2 gay couples on the show, It's about pairing a Luthor with a Super whose families have such a deep and marathon vendetta. On Arrow, they altered the entire show so Fecility could get in the show as a regular one, Olicity could become a couple. Thus, there is a precedent. Now it's just whether they're brave enough to tread along the already-marked traces.

The pain in Kara's voice as she told Lena, "All you did was hurt me in every way imaginable", I felt that pain. She was crushed by the lengths Lena went to hurt her. But to Lena's credit, she never hurt Kara again and became her protector

Melissa got to have her own moment just like Katy did in 5x7. She knocked it out of the park. Until she started her speech, most fans were critical of the fact that Kara had said she would be there when Lena was ready and instead was giving her the cold shoulder. But then Kara showed so much pain and vulnerability in her speech. It was gut wrenching to hear her say "how about all the ways you hurt me". Lena went way overboard in her pain and we never quite saw it from Kara's point of view until she finally spoke. Like even then she was avoiding talking about it partially because she didn't want to push Lena away again. To Lena's credit, she took it like a champ and helped Kara anyway. From that point on, Lena was the new Alex and even Alex noticed. Alex saw the bond growing (whether just friends or more is open for debate) but she saw it when Lena said the exact same supportive line as her. She saw that someone else would be there for Kara and she could move forward with Kelly and a family.

Kara's speech about Lena hurting her still gets me. Lena could have said many things in an attempt to apologize but she had finally woke up to what she did, so she did the only thing she could for Kara, she let Kara vent. She saw Kara's pain and I think Lena finally realized she had become just another loss in Kara's life and she hated herself for it

I 100% ship them. it's a shame that it'll never happen because the people that could make it happen won't. according to a commenter of this video, Melissa stated that Kara was straight. Well, that interview was in the past... I believe. It doesn't mean they can't be shipped together sometime in the future, because the writers could put it in. unfortunately, as I said, they won't. I dunno if Supergirl was bi-sexual in the comics or not, but if she wasn't... then that might be why. along with Melissa not wanting it to happen.

Supergirl is bisexual in the comics - Krypton is pansexual - Melissa is the one that showed Katie supercorp and she has never said she is against supercorp. Alex said she was straight once and we all know how that turned out. What i'm saying is that people change. I work in TV and film and sometimes the chemistry and story line takes the story into its own hands like with Oliver and felicity. I ship them 100% but if they end up great friends who have many endearing moments and if kara stays single or finds a guy who does not treat her poorly I would be okay with that as well. Although I love them their romantic storyline would be the so epic a Luthor and a Super.

Even though at the time she said it, Lena was intending to use Kara, Lena held true to her statement of Always after Kara said your with me right. Lena never fully abandoned Kara, she wanted to, but couldn't. The moment she realized Lex was working against Kara she ran to her apartment, threw herself at Kara's mercy, and begged to help her. Did she do all of this for the greater good? No. She did it because in that moment Kara's safety mattered more to her than anger, revenge, or ego. The show made it clear that every time Kara was in danger Lena was willing to put everything aside to protect her. When push came to shove she cried as she chose not to send the email to Andrea that would have exposed Kara, this kept Kara safe. She had the chance to escape with Myriad while Kara was fighting in the fortress, she risked her own goals to help protect Kara, once shaikh choosing Kara's safety over her own. She had a panic attack when the Kryptonite cannons almost shot Kara, once again Kara's safety came first. She cried and almost broke when she saw the pain she caused by using Kryptonite on Kara in the fortress. It's clear, Lena would never abandon Kara, she was literally incapable of it.
