This was epic! I was right up the front at this show and it was insane. The band were on fire and the atmosphere was incredible. It felt like being in a tumble dryer in that mosh pit. Scary, crazy fun. Thanks to the poster for the memories!

They were just so fantastic! I was up near the front and was awestruck by the wall of sound and remember clearly them leaping out of nowhere at the beginning. Probably the best and most memorable live act I've seen. Great memories. Thanks for posting. Long time ago now!

Fucking brilliant! Was a geeky 13yo trumpet player, when these dudes turned up and changed my life. Remember standing on the seat of my push bike and holding on to the top of a corrugated iron fence to catch a glimpse of their sound check at the Rox bar in Hastings. Thanks for the post, Bro!

If only they didn’t screw over che fu. They could’ve been globally successful. But as soon as they screwed him over they were done
@daveanaru30385 жыл бұрын
Dropping Che Fu was THE DOPIEST move that any band/management in NZ has ever done. I saw Che talking about it. You could see how hurtful the memory was for him.
@brockshrubb43573 жыл бұрын
what happened?
@jaapanui3 жыл бұрын
@@brockshrubb4357 they basically did a super successful tour with che fu as lead like this concert. The tour travelled to many countries. They ended up paying him out to leave and he being young took the money and signed a Non disclosure agreement. He said he felt he wasn’t part of their new direction and image. They were a blues rock type band and after the tour he said the new songs they were doing were more grunge type stuff and he was not given any vocals on any of their new songs. He said he felt they were already trying to kick him out before they paid him to leave. Was quite sad. U could see how hurt he was because he was part of the band while in high school. Their success got to their heads and they thought they didn’t need him. He felt he was also to brown for their style after the tour which he feels was the main reason they wanted him out. But after that he went solo and as u probably know has had an awesome career in nz but to be honest he would’ve probably had an international career if they kept him on and stuck to what made them successful.
@jaapanui3 жыл бұрын
And when I say paid him to leave I actually mean they sat him down and said they didn’t want him in the band anymore. And gave him some money and made him sign the NDA
@jeremyloder97883 жыл бұрын
Yeah. They fired Che who went on to a massive solo career. Che had a big hit with DJ DLT (Chains) to thank him for doing the remix EP Great Mixes. They also fired their trumpet player Tim and switched Nick from Saxophone to keyboards.
