Eric Coldfire Bat and Supe got there in the 9th comic because the writers didn't want the team to be outweighed by their success like in the Justice Society of America. Plus Stan Lee directly inspired the Fantastic Four from JLA, which in turn inspired The Avengers, so without JLA there would be no Avengers. Not to mention JLA would completley destroy The Avengers in a fight.

THEOTHERGUYNATION Yep, Stan Lee made not only one but 3 better Superhero teams than Justice League. Fantastic 4, Avengers, and X-Men. And no, there is no way Justice League could beat Avengers, especially when the JL's heavy hitter is vulnerable to magic while Avengers has a God and a Hulk. Not to mention Iron Man has better hardware than Batman, and Batman has even stated that Captain America could be him in hand to hand combat.

Spider-Man was a reservist for a number of years, and became a full-time member as a founder of the New Avengers. When The Avengers reformed he served as member of both The New Avengers squad and The Avengers Squad. He (or the "Superior" version of him) currently serves on the main Avengers squad only.

I find the Avengers better than JL, well here are my reasons: Some of their members are former villains, while JL just kicked the villains that help them into jail. They don't have many super strength members, JL has so many OP members, it makes me think they don't have to be a team and Superman or the Flash can just take care of the villains themselves. The Avengers actually appear in the 1950s, but they're a different team and one of the 1950s Avengers was led by Nick Fury. Their villains are as powerful as JL's villains and they don't have anyone as op as superman, and they manage to prevail. Also it doesn't matter who comes first, look at Aquaman, he's a straight rip-off of Namor and he's better, why can't they give Namor credit or what about Cyborg, Marvel already created a super cyborg called Deathlok.

The team is founded by the Avenger Hawkeye in response to a suggestion by android fellow Avenger the Vision, who at the time wished to expand Avengers influence. Hawkeye recruits Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Iron Man, with the last actually being Jim Rhodes as opposed to Tony Stark, a fact initially unknown to the team.

It has action; an amazing plot unlike Avengers which just has a lot of convenience, like all the soldiers just dying, hulk learning how to control his rage in a matter of hours, the professor building a way to close the portal, etc; great character development; an astounding script; etc.

From what I gathered after the second Amazing Spiderman movie he will appear in the second Avengers movie...Which I will have to go against only taking on the Lizard and soon to be Rhino...The way he was portrayed he doesn't seem like a hero. More like someone who joined Magnetos brotherhood. The classic Spiderman who fought Green Goblin,Doc Ock,New Goblin,Sand man, and Venom. The old Spidey has earned the right to be in the Avengers and seemed like a real hero and not a anti-hero.

Actually in one of the newer Avengers reboots(be for the Iron men and Avengers moves) he was depicted as a black men that's appearance and speech was loosely based of Samuel L Jackson, which is why thay asked him to play Nick fury. You should be the one doing your research.
