I think she was using Huggy to guide us to her location as explained in previous videos. As we are constantly reborn there was no concern if Huggy caught up along the way. This explains why Huggy provides the key too and then chases us down a path covered in warnings and danger signs. Hope this helps

I just feel like either Poppy is really, really evil or we're actually giving her too much credit. There might be other enemies we don't know of, that we haven't been introduced to yet. I came up with a theory that I posted on reddit somewhere. In the trailer for the first chapter, Poppy is sitting on her chair and the floor is smeared with blood. It looks a lot like the maintenance tape except there's someone freaking out in the background. Someone is running to or from something and they shine a flashlight on Poppy. It's right when she's moving her eyes to look at whoever is there. That blood doesn't look like it came from her voice box lol. It looked like something or someone was dragged. She's looking at us because it was her doing or because she has good reason to let us know she's alive. Too eerie. Also, I wonder if Stella wrote the letter at the beginning. If you look at her tape, I think the word forever is misspelled. Ironic considering what she's saying. Doesn't seem like a coincidence with the spelling errors in the letter. People think a child would have those grammatical mistakes but someone who's first language isn't English could easily do that.

just to point out something on poppy playtime that has been bugging me, the photos that show on the TV's when a VHS is being played is apart one of the toys (i think) e.g. the closing tape photo on the TV is huggy's hand(don't believe me, do a side by side comparison of huggy's hand and the photo on screen). REVISED BECAUSE I THOUGHT OF OTHER STUFF (Warning: Long theory): 1. Re-watching the chapter 2 trailer made me think of something. Since Poppy was the first toy made, I wonder if "mommy doesn't like guests" is her talking in third person...and is actually talking about herself. If she has control over the other toys, it's possible she is the "mommy" to all of her "children" (the other toys that do the work for her). 2. On another note, I've been thinking about the final log with the scientist and what he's talking about could mean 3 things: A. The scientist states that the final log is IN RELATION to experiment 1006. It's still possible that he's talking about Huggy Wuggy or some other toy. When he talks about coordination and cooperation, it sounds like he's been observing this experiment's behavior for a while. Why would it be us if we're the one that's missing? It makes me wonder about who we actually are and when exactly the tape was made. Could it also mean that we were turned into an experiment and was observed for data before escaping--I mean, leaving? Also, say that he's talking about us missing and our absence being a flaw in the process, I wonder if the player/protagonist had a huge role in the perfect creation of Huggy Wuggy and other experiments. If so...why? Who the heck are we? B. I'm thinking about who we're playing as. We have no idea who exactly we, the protagonist, are yet so we just assume that the scientist is talking about Huggy Wuggy when he says things like "...his skillset., ...in relation to him, his absence..."BUT...if we are playing as experiment 1006, wouldn't this confirm the first fact about us, that we are playing as a male character? If so, it's possible that we're one of the employees introduced, or we could be an entirely different character not introduced yet. C. Those fools didn't place all of those teeth in Huggy Wuggy's mouth to be a kid-friendly toy. I don't think the Huggy Wuggy we see was the original plan. After we left the factory, I feel like they couldn't continue with their original plan to make the perfect toys. Therefore, perhaps there was a plan B. Out of fear, Laith Pierre decided to turn Huggy Wuggy into some kind of security system. Now, this might sound weird since Huggy Wuggy is confirmed to be a living organism. However, the hidden text in the first Poppy Playtime trailer talks about a digestive tract. That's only SOME of the organs in the human body. What about the rest? Does he have a heart? Lungs? What about a brain? He has human parts, but how is he ALIVE? Let's say he does have programmed security functions...but hearing the scientist's tape, it seems that plan went terribly wrong (IF that's actually Huggy Wuggy commiting genocide in the background, lol). Oh! Out of curiosity, what if you play the Huggy Wuggy song backwards? Is there another message?

When you get caught by huggy you don't die you get weird messages and just wake up at the beginning why? There's a message if you freeze the first chapter trailer about experiment 1060 not needing substance to live like other experiments (food,nutrition) you don't eat for health or anything right? So 1060 was a success and they wanted it to perfect the other experiments. Remember brohn needs 4000 calories per day!! I think that's why huggy and kissy look like they had there mouths sewn shut before. I think poppy is good but trapped that's why she keeps saying I'm a real girl till the maintenance tape .they say shes better now and that's her blood. Looked like it was coming out of her chip thing in her neck and she was hurting. The reverse messages maybe make some sense only a few words though I seen alot of vids of different words. I think it's a bioshock thing with you being called back some how we don't know why you're here. And poppy caused it so you can save her and the employees that are still stuck here Starving. But some how being kept alive as toys and being fed on by the orphans they experimented on. The bleeding toys at the beginning and through the factory trying to escape are the employees who wrote the letter about finding the flower cause 10 years ago they vanished. But they are still there

I wonder how us going missing would affect the other experiments... Maybe it's like resident evil and poppy sees us as apart of her twisted family. Maybe we were the one who kept her in line. Here's another question: What might have happened to Poppy DURING her imprisonment? The fact that she's in that case sort of gives the feeling that she's been literally stuck in that one room for decades, but... that doesnt make any sense. Those scientists... there's no way they'd leave a "breakthrough" like her alone. They'd probably want to CONSTANTLY experiment on her, trying to perfect whatever unholy techniques they were working on. Who knows what sort of constant horrors she might have suffered at their hands for all those years?

Tbh, I think it's more likely that the soul trapped inside Poppy is one of an orphan, since she does say "mommy doesn't like guests" which indeed could point to Stella being another doll, and also that Stella could've adopted someone before being changed into a doll. There's also the part in the commercial where Poppy says "I'm a real girl", possibly hinting at Poppy really having the soul of an orphan girl. If it were Stella in there, I think she would've said person instead of girl. So, basically, it could be that Stella adopted an orphan girl, and that the girl got put into Poppy, and Stella in another doll which she calls mommy.

When you played the reversed audio I closed my eyes so that I wouldn't look at the text You put on screen and it just sounded like gibberish, I did this three times and it still sounded like gibberish. During the beginning they said that they had certain security measures. And huggy wuggy is the only giant we've seen so far in the middle of the factory(There are no other staues or anything to replace him) and not only that he's alive, big, and intellgent all the other huggys seen are small, perhaps its most likely that he IS the security measure, that went mad and ended up on a spree of killing all the staff thinking they were breeches to the playtime co infulnced by poppy. They said that he didn't need to eat or anything so it means its either he snapped or was influenced by something or someone to kill everyone. (Poppy or anyone else turned into a toy?)My theroy though is that that poppy is more of a victim aswell and perhaps there are more than one masterminds thinking they control someone else when they too are being influenced to do what they wish to happend.

SuperHorrorBro, I just realized something. Several people have said that Poppy (the doll) may actually not be EVIL, and may actually be your ally. At first, I found this very unlikely as the game is a horror game, and it's called Poppy Playtime. And well, we all know where the game most likely is going to go; Poppy is the main villain, and she will probably be the final fight, or just hold the final chase scene. However, I recently noticed something. . . When you approach the flower near the end of the game, there are signs everywhere saying, "No," "Danger," "Go back" and other messages written in what appears to be crayon. These messages have arrows drawn next to them, showing the direction of the danger. But there isn't a SINGLE sign with an arrow pointing to it to where Poppy is; in the flower. . . This may actually mean that Poppy is NOT a danger, and that she is our ally. . . Keep up the great work!

One other good reason that Stella might be in Poppy: When the audio is played backwards, the words come in a different accent, but of course it’s still readable. Stella, as you pointed out, was German and it makes sense to compare the audio to her since the audio actually has a perfect German accent.

Interesting fact, huggy only starts chasing and attacking the player when he takes the bee cat toy. He just watched us before that and deednt try to harm, he even gave us the key to electricity room. This could mean that he just got jealous that we chose another toy and not him...His behaviour could indicate that if there is a soul possessing him, its a child's one. Poor creature, he was just jealous.

Okay here's my theory. What about there are two groups within the poppy playtime inc. ones poppy( say the good side) and the others Stella (the bad side). Remember the disappearance of the employees, what if it was Stella who did it, and huggy wuggy brings you to poppy on purpose so you can free her and help her take on Stella and finally release everyone she's trapped. The only reason I can think of for them imprisoning her is that the last survivor kept her imprisoned her there then left the markings saying not to go there and since the only one who knows the path there is huggy wuggy who gives us the key, it could've been him possibly.

A theory I heard in another video is that Exp. 1006, who is referred to in the audio log with the scientist, isn’t Huggy, but is actually the player. “he is missing” while there’s noise that is most likely Huggy going on a rampage There’s also the camera height and lack of not using the grabpack Just curious your thoughts on this, cause it seems likely

how is it the player himself when you die theres a chance you will see a dialogue saying, "Exp. 1006. Isn't he wonderful?" so if you will say exp 1006 is the player then that theory is wrong. it is huggy wuggy who is experiment 1006 and besides why would someone call the player wonderful.

Odd thought but... aren't there some broken and bloodied toy parts you can pick up throughout the first chapter? How hard would it be to take one of those all the way to the part of the game where you make a fresh, new toy and use the broken one in the "Nobody leaves without a friend" thing? Could you scan it/leave without turning on the machine, ect?

In the tape's video commercial with the secret message "We'll kill people" it makes sense when in the game, if you'll walk through the corridor going to the gift shop, you'll see shattered glass from the panels where toys were displayed. The shattered glass was positioned in a way that something burst out rather than someone outside of the panels punch the glass in for ransacking.

My theory is that poppy is actually going to be grateful that you let her out of her case and her saying “mommy doesn’t like guests” is her warning us about “mommy” whoever that is. And I don’t think she is a hive mind I think the living toys are actually guarding her so she doesn’t escape somehow and she isn’t controlling them.

Theory: Stella adopted a child whos soul got trapped inside of Poppy. The company kept this a secret from Stella until it drove her into doing some digging of her own. When she discovered what they were doing, they turned her into Kissy Missy and may have kept her trapped in the location we end up in when we enter Chapter Two.

Has any noticed the different color of crayons used? Like the letter had red and orange and the text written on the walls. Then each enemy has a specific color Poppy is red and Huggy Wuggy is blue. Maybe the color text is written by the enemies and is based on each ones designated color. It would also explain why the hint handprints have specific colors. Maybe the characters who are green and yellow are actually allies.

even though it may not be stella of poppy's soul, heres a quick theory. when you hear them reverse the clip of poppy, it sounds like a german accent JUST LIKE STELLA'S. You need to hear it several times in order to get the accent of poppy. And her name, "poppy" can also mean this: Poppy . ... However it is known to have been a pet form of the German name 'Bodebert' meaning 'Messenger of the Gods' and was a well known hereditary name among the counts of Hennenberg and Babenberg in East Frisia between the 9th and 14th Centuries. A poppy is known for "remembrance" in most countries. Demeter, (the name of Messenger of the Gods) also made the poppy to make her sleep, because of the lost of her daughter. Poppy also sleeps in her case, which is a big sign. "Stella Grayber" (the probably soul of Poppy) is nowhere to be seen on the internet when I tried finding her information. Though, there is a clothing brand similar to her name lol. She wanted to be hidden, so she made huggy wuggy kill you. she is probably controlling the system, in order for nobody to find her. (and on social medias and most of the internet.) When chapter 2 comes out, ill probably update this.
