I have the 60 gal sprayer for my Gen 2 2025R maintaining 5 acres. It's been excellent so far. It easily provides 30-40' of spray from the hose that enables the extended application of herbicide, insecticides and irrigation. It also has a great boom for applying the same as well as fertilizers. It's been a very useful tool for me without being too large so that I can navigate around trees, vegetation, structures and improved surfaces. It also includes a commercial grade pump made for a variety of materials. It's well made and well thought out.

Good grief, I need so many attachments for my 1023E...BUT I just paid it off so, first I'm going for a spreader to lay down fertilizer on my acre....no more walk behind pushing one of those cheap plastic ones, that takes for ever. Then I'm adding a quick attach, a tiller and a garden hiller....thanks Tim and family for some very informative vids for all us compact guys!

Nice! I didn't know that JD made small sprayers or all the other stuff you were showing. A few years ago I bought a Demco 60 gal with wand only to spray my apple orchard using my 2025R. Thanks for the showcasing of Superior Tech! I saw on some tractor forums that the aggressive Ag and Industrial tires were poor on ice and that folks were cutting extra sipes into them with a tread cutter. For that reason, I bought turf which offers more sipes and more contact and so far I have had no problems here in Maine. I do have chains for emergencies but have never had to put them on. Chains are tough on cement floors and resist putting them on unless necessary.

Good work Tim and Mrs Tractor Time. However, next up I'd love to see some of that equipment being made. I love seeing how things are made. I don't have any current use for any of it, but I enjoyed the vid anyway. That's the thing, most of your vids are enjoyable to watch whether we need that kind of thing or not.

Thanks for the videos - love this channel. I'm considering going with the 40" shovel, as I have an X580 and can't really go larger for mowing due to wet/soft ground, and can't yet afford TWO tractors (though if I find a used SCUT with just a FEL within my price range, i'd buy it =D ) - this was the only video i could find that even showed basic operation of it.

Thanks Ryan. Heard from a guy on greentractortalk.com a few weeks ago saying that his 1025r causes less damage on his wet yard than his prior x500 did. Perhaps the larger tires help distribute the weight more? Also, goodworkstractors has some really good prices right now. He released a video recently showing his super deals. You might want to take a look.

I bought the TKV20 a year ago. I used it for a month and although its a great concept and works somewhat well it had a couple issues. First off I run it on a 2017 2032R with the 72D deck. The first and most serious issue was the 4th time I used it, it shredded the belt. Upon inspection of the internals while replacing the belt, I found that the pulleys were no where close to being aligned. Being mechanically inclined and having a shop press I was able to reverse the larger of the two pulleys and get it aligned. Secondly the full indicator needs a lot of work, taking it on and off to clean it has worn out the mount, it fell off while cutting on several occasions. I was able to engineer something to keep it on the mount but nowhere a good fix. Third with somewhat wet grass it wants to clog up the tube, I am running a 72D deck so it may just be pushing too much grass, I bought some high lift mulching blades and will be trying that starting this spring. I compost everything for my garden and this is a great tool, hopefully it soon will become an awesome tool.

I've used it for seven years now and it's been great. Sprays 40' so I've used it on our 20 acre & 35 acre farms no problem. Northern tool so it's cheap ( US made pump)

I was surprised to hear they were associated with john deere. When I bought my 1025r they sold be the john deere 3 bag mcs with powerflow and it was awful! I hated it. I worked it out with my dealer to take it back and they told me the only other mcs available for the 1025r was a 44 bushel trac-vac trailer system. I had already seen your tkv20 video and knew about it but my dealer didn't. So I ended up with a refund and bought the tkv20 myself and totally love it!

I have one of the LP22861 25-gallon mounted sprayers on the back of my X500. It is fantastic. Superior Tech's products are very nice. I just wish they made it easier to get replacement parts. Their products (i.e. LP22861) are not listed in the normal JD Parts system and the part numbers listed in the operator's manual are not in the JD Parts system. I bought my 25-gallon sprayer in March and apparently the dealer tested it with water prior to me taking delivery. I brought it home and put it in my garage and a week later we had freezing temperatures and the plastic wand cracked due to the water freezing that was left over from the dealer testing it. I contacted the dealer and weren't sure how to get a replacement so I contacted Superior Tech directly and they sent me a new wand no questions asked. So kudos to Superior Tech for their excellent support. But the issue still remains... how does one go about ever getting replacement parts for one of Superior Tech's JD-branded pieces of equipment?

John Deere dealers have access to all of the licensed products they sell. Parts diagrams, parts lists, warranty forms etc. are all easy to access by the dealer. If your dealer for some reason is unaware how to do that, a simple call to Superior Tech can help them.

Just a thought if your going to buy one of those salt shakers. A few years ago I went to an university auction for a Japanese built JD compact tractor. It had a 3-point salt shaker. Japaneese built Deers were made with stamped steel. Everything from the steering wheel back was solid rust, some of it rusted thru. Apparently it was never rinsed after each use. Sad, because it only had 300 hours on it.

That is an issue with most tractor-mounted spreaders, even those used for spreading fertilizer. Most have a habit of shooting almost as much material forward into the tractor workings as they do out onto the ground. It was for that very reason that I opted for a tow-behind spreader even though I loved the convenience of the tractor mounted unit.

Herd Salt AND Sand Spreader is the real deal when it comes to real winters...:) The Herd Model 5.5 holds 550 lbs. of wet sand, or 5.5 cu. ft. of material. The PTO powered salt/sand spreader is rugged enough for heavy duty ice control usage. The unique agitator system provides positive feed and can spread salt, wet sand stored outside, and sand mixed with salt or calcium chloride. The Herd Kasco Model 5.5 3-Point Wet Sand Spreader can spread up to 275 lbs. of sand per minute. There is a 20 ft. maximum spreading width. The tractor is recommended to run at 2/3 throttle so the PTO is about 400 RPM. This will give a spread width of 20 ft. As the the motors slows, the spread width will become narrower. An optional fan shroud (#1005) is available to hold narrow widths. The Model 5.5 spread pattern will be narrower than spreaders made for broadcasting grass seed. The Herd Kasco Model 5.5 3-Point Wet Sand Spreader has powder-coated paint for non-rust durability and a heavy-duty 14 gauge steel hopper with welded seams. The round hopper base prevents material from lodging and assures even feeding. Herd Model 5.5 is FULLY MADE IN THE USA. www.easyattachments.com/Herd-Kasco-Model-5-5-3-Point-Wet-Sand-Spreader-p/5.5.htm

Wait, the finance committee just told Tim to spend $9K+ for a gator?!?!?! (Sprayer extra). Perhaps Superior Tech might want to consider a material collection system with a ground collection fitting and built in shredder for those that don't have mid mount mowers. You don't want a salt spreader on the unpaved parts of the driveway, which is most of it. See there, I just saved you some money!

A lot of folks with fancy lawns insist on having all the debris cleaned off the grass each fall. Mowing or mulching over them works fine for most of us lazy folks (me included) but nothing beats the look of a nice vacuumed lawn. :-)

$900 for the small 3 in 1 blade for the 3 and 5 series! Good lord that’s ridiculous for a tool that is definitely more show than function.

Yep - $958 for the 40-inch X300/X500 version. I almost swallowed my mouse. Strangely the 54-inch version for the X700-series is "only" $759. Perhaps due to the X700-series having its own hydraulics.

Just PLLEEAASSSEEE do not put salt on your gravel or dirt driveway. You’ll never get it solid until you dig out the dirt and add new in.

Is this true. I spread salt sand mix on some customers driveways and never knew anything about that.
