When they did the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zepplin and sang "Stairway to Heaven" I remember thinking how she blew an entire backup choir of about 100 people out of the water because, well, that's just what she does. WHAT A VOICE!!!

I was so fortunate to be able to see them perform this in concert, way back when! Nancy was playing piano. Ann came up to her, put her hand on Nancy’s shoulder and sang most of the song standing next to her. 💖💕💖 I believe this live recording is on their Greatest Hits Live vinyl album.

I first heard this incredible version of Unchained Melody when i put a Heart CD in my car CD player as i was leaving Vegas, at 1am, on my way back to Phoenix. I was so blown away by this version that i played it over and over till i reached Phoenix (4 and a half hours). The lady has great pipes.

Patrick Jordan I love Ann Wilson too! Heart were a big band in the 70's and 80's. They broke the mold of a lot of rock bands. They had similar styles to Led Zeppelin, Journey, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and many others. To me, Journey and Heart have the most similar sound. I would have really loved hearing Ann Wilson and Steve Perry sing a duet back in the 80's.

I have heard every version of this song. And I have been to almost every show you and your sister have put on since the 70's. I am a Seattle girl! I saw Heart in Austin Texas. They began this song and the POLICE officers came inside the arena to listen. Ann is my idol. Can a female rocker have any more range? Or passion? Or , dare I say it...HEART? And Nancy is great too on the songs where she gets to show case her virtuosity. LOVE this band. And interestingly, the first time I saw the, some assholes behind me had never heard of them and were hating on them about "yeahhh, they are some kind of rock band with a CHICK guitarist or whatever". And next thing you know "Barracuda" was playing and they shut the hell up. Loved it, loved Heart and never stopped. No wonder they were asked to do tribute to fucking LED ZEPPLIN in front of LED ZEPPLIN. That says it all.

This live version of Unchained Melody by Heart was recorded at McNichols Arena, Denver, CO, in September, 1980. It was included on the Vinyl Version of the Album "Greatest Hits/Live" which was released on November 29th, 1980 and released as a single in 1981.

I was at this concert. I was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I was right out of Marine Corps bootcamp and in combat cameraman school at Lowrey AFB CO. This song and Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll were the encore songs. It was an awesome night. I most recently saw them in Tulsa at the casino in a small setting and awesome again. One last time I will see them in the Cajundome in Lafayette La. four days before I see Guns n Roses at the VooDooFest in New Orleans City Park.

It's a B just below the high C . Ann can hit C6 and C#6 back in the day. Her chest voice is the most impressive. All the way to a G# and she still has all the power of her lower belts. Now that you mention it she may have hit a high C somewhere towards the end .
