Unchained Melody 4K Remastered Tribute by Akshat Luthra. Amazing Performance by Elvis Presley Live From Elvis in Concert, 21st June 1977 in Rapid City. Written by: Hy Zaret and Alex North.
Lyrics:
Oh, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch, a long lonely time
Time goes by, so slowly and time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love, I need your love
God, speed your love to me
Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers cry, wait for me, wait for me
I'll be coming home, wait for me.
I’ll be coming home, wait for me
Oh my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch, a long lonely time
I need your love, I need your love
God, speed your love, to me

May I say, quite possibly the best edit of this performance in all of existing media. It seems to mesh the best versions of this performance, the best overdubs, etc. all into one masterpiece. Bravo.

I wasn't crying until I read this comment. I'm not kidding. My parents graduated in 1956 and 1957. They were as square as any 2 people I know, not into celebrity or fame or wealth... or anything like that. When hen Elvis died, I was shocked at how much they loved him. Obviously, nobody like him, and through them, I love him to this day. So much great, great, great music amidst a troubled life, obviously. I remember my dad coming back from the little store with the paper when we were on vacation. I was twelve years old when he died. August 1977....

It breaks my heart.😭 Elvis with a clear soul, a beautiful smile, and the best voice on earth. God sent his talent to the world and unfolded it, and Tom Parker, a vile manager full of greed, and Priscilla,(narcissist), a greedy viper-like wife, caused him nothing but pain, and his pure soul was wounded and became a star in the sky. Elvis will shine forever and those who hurt him will be punished. We love you, Elvis ❤️

Andere hätten abgesagt in diesem Zustand. Sein Lächeln vergisst man nicht.

Goldies, have not heard Elvis version, of this song, for a bit. You could perhaps take a look see of Bobby Hatfield rendition of this song, a live performance in 1965, on the Andy Williams show. No autotune, just his natural voice. You may be pleasantly surprised. Plz enjoy, this very much talented individual. This voice was heavenly sent. Bobby is dearly missed, his music is still with us. Its a blessing that we can still archive this individual 🎶. His range of octaves, there is no words that can say. Bobby is dearly missed, his music, is still w/us.

I don't know if you are aware that Elvis had an inherited genetic condition A-1 antitrypsin which causes COPD/emphysema & he needed an inhaler to help him breath, yet he managed to belt out those songs to the very end. There is an exception to this though & that it was Sherrill (Shaun) Nielsen who sang the high falsetto ending. Thank you for this.

We saw Elvis on June 17th 1977 the night before my 13th birthday in Springfield, MO. Back then we had no idea how very ill he really was. But when he walked out the flashes from camera bulbs made the place look like heavy strobe lights for about 10 minutes!!! He looked a little heavy but was just as gorgeous as ever!!! His beautiful voice never ever failed him. It was a perfect concert!!! Poor Elvis, it's so sad that he couldn't or wouldn't save himself, he had no idea how loved he really was.😢❤❤

This man has the most melodious and beautiful singing voice I know and I am 54. To this day, no one can even come close to this voice. Shame on the people who exploited this unique man and drove him to his death.

No matter how ridiculous this sounds, He lives! Pastor Bob Joyce is EAP. I gave up denying it when the "coincidences" sealed the deal.

I didn't appreciate him when he was with us, but here, even toward the end, he was special. What is striking is how much his crew obviously loved him, must have been devastating for them when he passed, beyond the loss of income.

Those in Elvis' inner circle were furious at Parker for allowing Elvis to be shown in this condition. CBS offered Elvis and Parker an offer they couldn't refuse. As Elvis said 5 years prior: "The image is one thing and the human being another"

I never really listened to this show in depth until now. I can feel his pain and suffering, but he delivered a hell of a show. God bless this man. He was a staple for many musicians to come.

The body was completely destroyed by addiction and he was completely burned out, but the voice was magical until the end. No one will ever be able to sing this song like Elvis did

The best audio version I've heard! Well done! Hard to think that at the time of his death, 8 weeks later, he had 2 months of fecal matter found in his colon, toxicology report stated...I heard that on another channel. My God, I can't imagine how awful he must've felt! Opiates will clog a person up and ruin their life...i know from experience but luckily i got clean 8 years ago...but I also know he adored his fans and couldn't let them down.....Vernon should've insisted he check into the hospital and get clean and healthy...I'm sure Vernon regretted not doing that...again, great remastering job! Bravo!
