@Somar Chimon Unfortunately this would not work. Glass is already a poor conductor of heat. Modern windows usually have two panes with a thin layer of air between them to further improve insulation. I doubt you would gain much from this gel layer. But the window will still let sunlight in, which is absorbed by surfaces in the room. This heats up these surfaces, which in turn start radiating back. But what they return is infrared radiation - to which glass is mostly opaque. In other words: energy comes in as light, gets converted into heat, and then into infrared light which cannot leave the room easily. This is also how greenhouses work.

Fun fact : Lava is molten rocks, in this video, it's liquid copper that's being put on the glass. It's very easy to identify that it's copper due to the metal being brown on un-oxidized parts

Car glass is deliberately made to easily break like that, all of it, as to not cut oneself etc. The glass on the side doors anyway. The front glass may be / probably is not meant to (and probably does not) break like that. A long time ago, I remember when I closed a car door (where the car window was more or less open, I. E. rolled down) and the car glass in that door all just broke into 1000 pieces and fell straight down, almost like into the door where the glass was. And I was like, wow. So there no glass remaining that anyone could get cut from. So I believe this only applies to the car glass on the sides, not the front glass, which is not supposed to shatter like that.
