The movie isn't perfect but it has all the right elements. I loved the time it took to set up the origin. It was three chapters and had their own tone and texture. I guess you had to be there. I was

I agree that the origin was needed (obviously with it being the first movie) but I think that the time they used during those scenes could have been used more wisely there was a few scenes in the beginning that felt unnecessary toward the origin itself.

@bosso_movie_reviews i totally understand a newer generation viewer may see what else could've been done but this is still the gold standard even if some elements don't hold up

The worst aspect for me was how cheesy and campy Lex Luthor was. That corny suit with Otis and his silliness took me out of it. They could have gotten someone besides Brando, and with the money they saved - had better effects. I don't know if you watched it in standard or 4k. In 4K, it's obvious the backgrounds are rear projected and don't match his movements. This movie would be freshened up by CGI fix and editing. I also hated that they made Lois a smoker. Not a thing in the comics.

I agree I was not a fan of Otis and Lois and I did see it in 4K definitely can tell it’s a rear projection and I looked past it since cgi wasn’t really a thing and it didn’t pull me out too much
