My theory is that Captain Luther is possibly a hero from a world where Superman was the evil. The ending was a cool touch as Superman lost their battle, but goes home with a family and a happy ending with sunset. While luthor goes back to his ship all alone, in the middle of nowhere In the mountains. The score when he was walking on the snow was a very sad lonely tone. I think they’re gonna flesh him out

I imagine that the recasting has more to do with the fact that casting someone for a recurring role is different to casting for occasional guest appearances. Crisis is a convenient in-universe excuse, but let's not forget that the CW has recast roles before (Kara's mother in Supergirl, for example).

Yup. They soft rebooted the entire Arrowverse through crisis. This is why Superman and Lois have been married for years and have teenage fraternal twins. History is not as they remember and is pointless to dwell to much on it as only few remember and the consequences of everyone remembering all those timelines at once could be fatal. This is why Kal El won't discuss it anyone other than that remember it like Kara, Barry, Black Lightning etc.

Beth was displaced from Earth 99 to Earth Prime after the events of Crisis in "Batwoman". Both characters were suffering from migraines until August killed Beth of E99, allowing Alice aka Beth to recover. It appears that two Lex's could live on Earth Prime, possibly because of the suit Lex is wearing.

I loved the pilot. My theory is that “Captain Luthor” is Lex Luthor from an Earth that was destroyed during Crisis; but I don’t know if they’ll go with the angle of him being good; and thinking that our Superman was evil. I’d like to see how the father/son relationship will progress between Clark & the boys throughout the series; and if they deal with Jordan’s anxiety disorder while coping with using his new powers, then that could be useful for someone like Luthor or Morgan Edge to manipulate him into using him against his father; resulting in Jonathan proving that he also has powers, and leading into a brother vs brother showdown. But it’s just a theory. Hope to see more reactions. ❤️👍🏻

If you're trying to bring new people into a show, having direct references to several other shows and a big crossover event isn't necessarily a helpful thing to do. I don't imagine that Crisis will be referred to directly unless it becomes relevant to the story the show is telling. Crisis may be how we got here, but it doesn't need to be on everyone's mind going forwards.
