I hate saying that this is in the Arrowverse..... maybe if you only consider the first 1-2 seasons of Arrow and Flash, beyond that, this show is not comparable to the crud the Arrowverse became.
@JoelMiller43110 ай бұрын
@@Gumblethebear dude, if it wasn’t for the success of the Arrowverse (INCLUDING casting Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as Superman and Lois Lane), we wouldn’t have gotten this fantastic show in the first place. Heck, even Flash’s former showrunner, Todd Helbing, was responsible for the success of *Superman & Lois*
@Gumblethebear10 ай бұрын
@@JoelMiller431 The irony of course is tha the CW shows always lost money and their viewing figures were never good. So... success..... is relative. And frankly, as much as I appreciate this show, at least the first season, I was not a fan of either of the Clark/Lois actors. They were serviceable, but neither of them is a particularly good version of the character that fans will ever hold up as good examples of them. There is a reason fans really went crazy to see Tom and Erica back.
@Kazeromaru10 ай бұрын
Considering next season is the finale and it won't have half of its cast, they really screwed the pooch on this. Its a shame since the writing as stellar for almost all 3 seasons as well as the acting.

@@Gumblethebear Disagree, there are already many fans of Tyler Hoechlin's Superman. I get that you are a Smallville Fan, but, you shouldn't discredit this show just cause of some nostalgia. Every actors bring their own unique take and should be respected for continuing the legacy of Superman's character.
@nightwingman66610 ай бұрын
I remember once that Superman was described as ‘Just a small town guy who wants to do the right thing’ this episode Tyler embodied the essence of that. Bitstie Tulloch was a shock I never thought anyone but Erica Durance could play Lois but I really liked Bitsie’s take on the character it was weird at first as she had less zingers than Erica but in hindsight it made sense she’s been a mother for over ten years and it would have mellowed her to an extent. Lana Lang is Clark's love from Smallville in the comics, Pete Ross was Clark's friend in "Smallville" the TV show. In the comics, Superman has only one son, here they took the "twins" rout, so they transferred Johnathan's powers to Jordan.

This version of Superman is so HUMAN in the best ways. That's what I've always loved about Superman is that he's fundamentally a very good person despite his god like power, take away the power and he's still Superman trying to do the right thing in the moment.

Spoiler alert: This series is a mixture of multiple Superman properties. For the look and Link of characters they look what's similar storyline interactions more similar to the arrowverse characters. As for the acting wise with general interactions and circumstances played off different characters it's more like the adventures of Lois and Clark series with Dean Cain. As for general storyline is basically the complete Smallville series with different seasons told in different storyline orders merged with alternate seasonal Ark's.

@@azrael_pendragon And you're allowed to, but it's not a Superman movie. I mean, it's got superficial elements of Superman, obviously, it uses the Superman IP, but it goes out of its way to take the idea of Superman apart and undermining it instead of showing why it matters. It's kind of a parody. Not the funny kind of parody, but definitely a deconstructionist, mocking take on what Superman is. He says his crest means "hope," but the ending of the movie essentially says "hope is stupid, be hopeless". That's a very intentional irony. And there's nothing wrong with enjoying that for what it is, but it's not what I personally wanted from a Superman movie, at a time when the world needs his message of hope, kindness and tolerance. There are plenty of dark parodies of Superman that don't use the actual character of Superman, and some of them are very good, but if I go to a Superman movie, my minimum requirement is that the filmmaker at least seems to like Superman and what he represents instead of thinking they can "fix" Superman by removing essential elements of the character and his upbringing and the kind of choices he makes and why and so on, in some kind of attempt to make him "cool". In a vacuum, it's not a bad movie, necessarily (I mean, it's pretty stupid, but there's also some genuinely good craft on display), but it makes no attempt to be a Superman movie. And, again, there's nothing wrong with liking that. I like the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie, and that's also a terrible and *very* stupid adaptation that's darker than the source material. I just don't care about Mario enough to be bothered by that, and that's completely subjective. With Superman, I just really wanted a proper, sincere, non-cynical Superman movie that doesn't try to turn Superman into Wolverine. That's a personal preference as a fan of the character. I'm not gonna try to convince you not to like something that you like. There are things to like about it. It just doesn't have Superman in it in any meaningful sense.

@@ShuffleUpandDeal32 Ok well your opinion is flawed. Everyone in this world relies on other people to give them money, you render services and you get paid. That's how jobs work. You're saying she doesn't produce anything, you're wrong about that too. She's producing content (a product) for people to watch, to enjoy. There's a lot of people out there who are interested in watching someone react to a show/movie/trailer etc., there's a market for it and people are willing to pay for it if they want to and much the same as any other person on KZbin or in any other field of work, if you get paid for putting content (a product) out there for people to enjoy, guess what.. you're running a business, you have a job. You state that if reaction channels would disappear that nobody would blink an eye, swing and a miss buddy. On this channel alone there would be over 30k subscribers wondering what happened to that person they were watching react to their favourite show(s) and like you said there's a bunch of channels out there also doing reactions all with a ton of subscribers of their own and those people would also be wondering what happened to the channel they subscribed to.
