A game like this must have a very well-structured concept and game design. What enemies do you add? Do you have just one very strong enemy? reduce his power? Do you put kryptonite everywhere to weaken it? He's too strong a character, and any changes to the main character would make him stupid. Do you make a character that has to evolve over time? And the combat system? Like Batman? For now it's just an in-flight exploration game. I don't think it's impossible but you need a great idea to make it fun.

Superman is so complicated to make a game because he is a character with no limits, he is indestructible, he flies anywhere on the planet and has superhuman strength and powers, in this video Superman goes into space, think how difficult it is to actually do that in a game and do it in a way that makes it light and good to play. and time would also demand a lot, games of Exploration and normal games take 5 to 10 years, imagine someone who has the entire planet to travel, plus the sun and moon. It really would be epic and break barriers in the gaming industry.

Way too dark. Superman is a beacon of hope - his world should be associated with surreal and vibrant colors, not predictable, sleak and dark shadows/outlines. This is not a superman game, it just has a Superman avatar in it.

Artistically speaking, I believe the world should remain like this, but Superman's suit be brightened up to increase contrast. Not only does it thematically assist in his role as a glimmer of hope, but it also shows the player exactly where they are on screen and what they're doing.

When he gets closer to the “planet” the video cuts, most likely because they are using small sphere shapes to show planets. If he left the star system, he'd still have the power from the Yellow sun stored in him. There are hundreds of times he's left the star system and wasn't near a yellow sun and still had power. And even then, if there's a blue sun he has even more power. The only time he's de powered is near krytponite or near a red sun.

The biggest challenge with a Superman game is the progression and combat system. There are maybe a handful of villains that can threaten him physically and they’re all big boss level characters. No one beneath that level is doing anything to him so what’s the game going to be like in between boss fights?

Wow! Amazing! A full fledged game is very possible. Maybe a formula inspired by the recent PS4/5 Spider-Man games except it would need more / lots of bosses that challenge Superman. Maybe the main villain is Lex throughout the game's story and incorporated are other bosses that have stories correlated with Lex's plan, Darkseid, Braniac, Doomsday, Zod, etc. Who knows..? Also, Superman is known for hearing calls for help and flying around the world and there may be development challenges around that concept. For sure a complete open world experience of the whole world seems inconceivable. So developers would probably need to be methodical and treat them as side missions, along with others in the main city area. The potential for a game like this is insurmountable. Props to the creator, this is truly a lovely work of art.

Yea that'd be sweet. Like he could go to Mars and see Martian Manhunters home (or what's left of it ig) and even have Apokolips or Brainiac's ship depending on who the villain is. Or even a Watchtower satellite or moon base would be sweet. So many things they could do.

They could make a game with Mongol and Braniac as the villains. Have the game take place on multiple other planets where Superman is dealing with Mongol on his war world, and Braniac is causing havoc as well. Superman basically has tk be away from Earth and not be planet bound at all because he's too powerful.

I think the biggest issue for Superman game is what kind of mob enemy could fight Superman. Superman is quite strong and if he did not have self-control, all of his move are lethal. Robot yeah but fighting against human seem easy unless they are metahuman or equip with kryptonite bullet.

Other than Lexbots, you can have the following: Intergang: They’re a mafia group with weapons like mech suits, plasma rifles, and jetpacks that come from Apocalypse (after Bruno made a deal with Darkseid). With them being a crime faction, you can make them commit regular crimes in Metropolis like extortion and arms dealing, and they actually can harm Clark. Meta human mercenaries: Inspired by the Everyman Project by Lex Luthor, you can give Lex his own private army of meta humans with powers like Pyrokenisis, super speed, etc. Obviously Superman could still beat these kind of enemies, but you can easily just have him mention how he holds back to prevent property damage, and so he doesn’t kill anybody (like Spider-Man said to Taskmaster when called out on “pulling his punches”).

What if it was a game over if you kill anybody...so the real challenge is controlling all that power and keeping people from fearing/hating you? X-ray vision could help alot in even preventing accidental deaths. It would make fights against the big guys so satisfying to let loose the power.

Should be all his known villains in a massive open world rpg type game to anti heroes such as Black Adam yet they will have the Ai to wanna help at times pretty much everything from all the comic book stories to this day that’s canon would be a great Superman game

Love it just be careful as the in the space you can tell that the tiling is repeating might be better idea to use a texture map with smaller stars to enlarge the texture map and reduce the tiling or depending on if your using a model or skybox you could alway add a uniform star texture as the general and have a separate material applied to certain patches of the model to give it depth and more detail and to remove the uniform feeling
