All of Superman IV's Deleted Scenes and where they would place in the film. Scenes have been re-ordered to fit the original story in Quest for Peace. Remastered with original score by Alexander Courage and a brand-new sound mix.

Scene Notes:
CLARK'S DREAM:
Replaced the original dream dialogue with archival audio by Marlon Brando's Jor-El, warning Kal-El not to interfere with human history.
JEREMY'S LETTER:
A short extension of an already existing scene. A few more lines of banter from Jeremy's classmates.
SUPERMAN VISITS JEREMY:
Replaced unfinished VFX shot with later VFX shot from Nuke 2 fight.
NUCLEAR MAN 1 FIGHT:
Given a completely new audio track to allow for Alexander Courage's tremendous score to be used.
NUCLEAR MAN RUNS LOOSE:
A rework of many already existing scenes to correct the order of events in the film. Replaced a few shots of Nuke flying with previously used VFX. Some VFX shots are not finished but still needed for the sequence.
ORIGINAL FINALE:
Original ending is reordered based on the period of events showcased in the script and Courage's score. Added final scenes of Superman's speech and his flight with Jeremy.

These scenes were cut by the director. Also, the 3-hour TV cut of Superman: The Movie WAS NOT Richard Donner's originally intended vision. It was the Salkinds. The 2001 Special Edition however is Donner's full intended cut.

THANK YOU so much for this TREMENDOUS work. This is nowadays the DEFINITIVE version of the deleted scenes of Superman IV, it has made me appreciate and understand the movie a lot more. Now that I see the full picture, I think it could have been a good film and a nice ending to the Reeve saga. Nice job!

This was very well done, wow! I made an edit years ago called Quest For Coherence, attempting to reconstruct the full 134-minute cut. I had limited ability to remove the temp music and goofy sound effects. I have a version 2 in the works. Superman's vow to never interfere with the destiny of Earth doesn't make any sense because every time he saves someone or prevents a disaster, he is interfering with the destiny of the planet and the destiny of the people he saves. Plus in the first movie, he TURNED BACK TIME to interfere with Lois' destiny to prevent her from dying.

Well done… This movie has a much better heart than the third Chris Reeves film but, poor old Chris got screwed by budget with the film company at the time. The story and the heart was there… imagine it if they hadn’t halved the budget…

This movie hurt me seeing SUPERMAN 4 in theaters when I was a teenager now seeing more of what could have been angers me, so many want to see this movie back in a better cut I think if we keep letting the money men who hold sway over this unfinished film know how we feel about this movies future plus the exceptional people who are working for free to get visuals upgraded and a better cut will come together and all work on and salvage CHRISTIFER REEVES dream of the man of steels fourth adventure.

When I read about the first Nuclear Man, it sounded okay and so I wondered why they cut it. After watching this I can see why. Why on earth did they make him a simpleton? That whole sequence is terrible- but then again the whole film is pretty diabolical. I enjoy watching it just for how bad it is and how lousy the effects are. I hope Gene Hackman got a good cheque.

You left a few deleted scenes out. The tornado scene, russian missile about to take off scene and the nightclub scene are missing. The tornado and russian missile scenes are on the extras section in the Superman IV DVD. I've never seen the nightclub scene, but I know it exists. I have the Superman IV comic where it includes the deleted scenes. The audio commentary track on the Superman IV DVD gives a good explanation of the things that went wrong with this movie, mainly the budget cuts, which is why it is not as good as the others.

In real life if Superman hit a base ball with that much force it will explode like a bunker buster bomb. That is it the bat was able to reach the ball. The acceleration could very well destroy the bat.

Say, I have some of these scenes on a VHS so I guess I'm very lucky. In his book "still me" he quotes:"The less said about Superman 4 the better." Though I like it since I saw it for the first time as a teenager, now as an adult I see the special effects are very bad. Thanks Cannon.
