Who is the showrunner for this show? What is the writer's room like? I feel that there are female producers, executive producers and a lot of female writers. The female characters 1) talk to each other, 2) have their own agency, 3) make mistakes, feel them and voice them and work to do better and or apologise 4) there is no petty fake BITCHY rivalry, 6) the casting is age appropriate to their male partners, 7) female characters can be a variety, badass, evil, soft, intelligent, loyal , ruthless a mixture of several of these at a time. 8) they are heroic on all of the levels, from saving the world to being a good parent and partner as well as feeling they have a stake in the town and want to 'fight' for it.

I don't know about gender ratio in the production but I do love Lana and Lois work great together and feel almost like sisters since they bonded (I forget which episode it was but before the covid-related break). Could have easily wrote them with Lana being envious of Lois having the 'perfect' Clark that Lana used to have compared to her drunk moody Kyle but instead there's none of that. Lana has been fully loyal to her own family, still has her old friendship with Clark and now is great friends with the woman who actually did marry him. :P

Did they explain if the infected people will have memories of being infected or not? Because Lana would definitely know Clark is Superman now. Lana not knowing now is okay with me because the way they've differentiated Clark from the hero is really affective. Tyler does such a good job of playing both and they both do feel very different. Plus, her knowing Clark from his truly awkward years makes it even more believable. At least for now. I'm excited to see where this goes and where Diggle plays into this. He is the one character I think truly fits the feel of this world. I know people really want Kara, but I don't know if she fits. At least not where they've gone this season. A mention would be nice, but I don't need to see her for a while. Diggle fits. He's a more serious character with a more grounded feel. Ugh, love this show.

Considering how they are altering past storylines and history….got a theory going on in my head…..in the comics, The Eradicator took human form and took over for Superman after he “died”. Same as John Henry…..what if the evil Superman everyone is expecting is actually the Eradicator? (Which was more vigilante Superman than hero at the beginning)

In cases of Clark Kent/Superman, I'll use Smallville as an example because they explained it in a way that was pretty much sensible. The person you'd least expect to be a superhero is usually right in front of you. They have no way of looking at you any differently besides how they act. Tom Welling did some of this with the Christopher Reeves portrayal he gave during the final season where he changed Clark's personality and demeanor. As he said in the episode: "Clark Kent is his secret identity, Superman is who he really is". I could use other examples, but that's pretty much how it goes.

I asked pretty much the same question about Leslie... why is she not affected by the Eradicator explosion that is supposed to depower the X-K hosts... unless she is not a X-K host as we thought, but another real Kryptonian... or there is a range limitation to the effect blast because the Solar Flare itself is not all reaching... if Leslie was far enough away, she is unaffected. The latter is the more likely scenario... Leslie so far has had not a lot to do and I am waiting for her to show her true potential to be working alongside Tal-Rho. OH and you do bring up the idea once the Kryptonian consciousness takes over completely, it cannot be undone... she must have wanted the consciousness to take over or she was already too far gone by then.

Another great episode. Lana was great and I loved her as Lara too. Ok she still doesn't recognise Superman is her ex-boyfriend Clark but that sort of thing is just something we often just accept with Superman. :P Some things I don't get though: How did the possessed folk not die on hitting the ground? How did they make sure it was Lara who 'possessed' Lana and not another psycho? I might need to rewatch and see if I missed something there. And I still haven't seen a reason for the other Superman to turn into a murderer yet so hoping that still gets explained. As far as I can recall, Tal-Rho has never existed in the comics and if he is indeed an original character I'm ok with that. The Eradicator does come from the comics. Sorta. In that it was the name of one of the four 'Supermen' that emerged after Clark died fighting Doomsday (much like how Steel made his debut in the comics) but that's a whole long thing I ain't going into here. :P

My headcanon -I see it as their powers fade not immediately switch off when freed. -Pretty sure they said it was like a computer so they can just upload whichever program they want. -The other Superman wouldn't have had as strong of a tie to Earth without Lois and the kids after Martha/Jonathan passed away so would be more willing to accept an offer to have a family again.
@carn95073 жыл бұрын
@@DarthDarrik Ok i can go with those first two. But nah, to Superman wouldn't just become a mass murderer without a reeeeally strong reason. If he'd been raised evil then fine, but they've suggested he was good on that world first. Just joining 'his people' wouldn't be enough for me cos once they started killing humans he'd be horrified at that and wouldn't want to be on the side of murderers, much less start taking human lives himself. I'm still waiting for some kind of definitive reveal about it, like perhaps he got possessed or mind-controlled himself.

@@MedalionDS9 genius when you see me referencing supergirl did it ever occur to you that I'm speaking of kara? Next time read not skim it. I've never considered nor said lois selfish hell she's in the right. I'm speaking that kara is so worried about how kryptonite hurts her but doesn't see the necessity of having it for humans to use. Since she's very well aware that there are other kryptonians and candorians out there with sinister motives. Humanity needs it as a last line of defense for the huge possibility she is killed or hurt. They need kryptonite to protect themselves of her and clark in the inevitability they are turned. Case in point the alternate universe where superman is evil they found out about kryptonite but too late. This world knew of it early on and it gives them a huge advantage. Even in the current kara doesn't like kryptonite around and wants it gone. Clark now sees it differently.
