I won't pretend to understand the physics behind how one super punch could separate the two earths and send the square one back to the Bizarro universe with destroying some/part/all of the earths, but seeing a live-action sun dipped Superman was so good that I don't care!

It's mirroring some of Superman's greatest comic feats, like when Superboy prime punch so hard he broke reality, or when the 2 supermen fought and each blow changed the universe and the timeline. I know it doesn't make much sense, but Superman has always been so powerful it doesn't make sense. It mirrors the line 'Superman is as powerful as he needs to be'. Meaning a full potential superman is pretty much capable of anything.

In the comics Superman has moved the earth, him flying around the joined earths made the molecules of both planets vibrate and then when he hit earth, the force of impact made the different molecules separate into their distinct components and then pushed both earths back through their portals. The portal should still exist in the mine so Tal could come back through one day if he makes a Suit like Bizarro did

There is always one punch from comic if you see the pattern. He broke the 5th dimension by punching very hard in Melphius Saga comics recently. Same feat he repeated but this time solar flare blast pushed back the merging dimension which ally was trying to merge

I’ve literally had debates online about this show not been in the Arrowverse, I always said there were reasons they were keeping their Arrowverse connections tentative. What the Arrowverse fans who are upset ignore is there is a ton of contradictions on S&L that don’t correlate with the Arrowverse shows even post Crisis. It actually makes more sense for it not to be connected and I’m so glad they’ve establishes it isn’t.

This episode had so many visually stunning sequences and great character emotional beats. I like how we have some small hints at season 3 stories but like season 1 this is a self contained story. Intergang likely an ongoing story as that also links back to the comments made by Lois earlier in the season that someone big was funding the X-K operation, looks like as Chrissie knows the secret we'll have some reporter Clark again, also there was something slightly off with Lois questioning Ally that made me wonder if something happened with her & Bizarro Lois when the worlds reset, Jon starting to learn about Kryptonian tech and the family fortress. I've said it before but the casting of Tyler and Bitsie has worked perfectly, I've loved the development of John Henry & Natalie. I think if this show is going to spin off any characters it should be them but I'd hate to lose them from here, I also think this show will be the one to set up Diggle's 'Justice U' spin off and maybe send Tag off with him. Setting this show as another universe and not earth prime makes so much sense and opens up possibilities whereas being on earth prime closes down so many stories. The show can now avoid the constant "where's x, y, z hero' when anything occurs, when realistically with the status of the AV shows and actors being done with it we know they're not going to show up, so I'm happy to see this show do it's own thing.

Clark is kryptonian. All kryptonian are like massive car batteries. They do not need food to sustain them. And yes they can breathe in space. All Ally did was drain his cells of energy and never messed with his Kryptonian physiology. So he should breathe in space fine lol. Read comics people !!

People only think of Superman's traits as superpowers and therefore obssess over which son has powers etc. But remember, the House of El were scientists. Both Lara and Jor-El were scientists. I think Jonathan is indeed showing his kryptonian heritage with his interest in technology. So I predict next season will be Superboy (Jordan) and some form of a technology empowered Jonathan.

My only nitpick about this eps. was Bizarro Lois. What was the point of having here there? I actually did feel for Kyle in this eps. so kudos to his actor. And I am also happy that Sarah actually apologized to Jordan for cheating and not considering his feelings. I love how even without powers, Clark can still breathe in space. And watching Superman be Supercharged was Awesome! Superman smashing the worlds was ridiculous but So cool to watch. And I liked how the family gets their very own Fortress. So what do you guys think about the fact that show is NOT connected to the Arrowversde? I know some people are disappointed/angry but honestly I figured this show was separate from S1.

In such an action packed episode part of me feels like there was probably a whole thing with Bizarro Lois and Clark or maybe Bizarro Lois and Nat that got cut for time. Because we see her walk in like it's some big moment, Nat even walks out upset seeing yet another version of her mother and then she's just kind of there in the background.

As far as I see it what Sam said about this world having only Superman on this Earth, actually gave me a tiny bit of hope that that's a way to introduce others if they wanted to. They could truly keep the show a just-Superman thing, or they could slowly introduce others. In fact if a 15 year old Kara showed up right now her storyline would mesh really well overall with her peers.

the green lantern storyline for John Diggle was just addressed and wrapped up in Flash season 8 episode 18.

This season final was definitely worth the wait. 1) Shot out to the writers for this small detail. I don't know if anyone noticed this? But in last week's episode Superman looked smaller in his suit once his powers were gone. Compare to this episode he looked more bigger once he supercharged. 2) Seeing the show writer's tip their hats to Superman 1 with him. Flying around the planets was awesome. Also paying homage to Superman Prime by throwing him into the sun. 3) The shot with Superman on one knee radiating. Sunlight throughout his body was definitely a money shot. It reminded me of the Justice League close up shot. Where Wonder Woman was hitting her bracelets together in their battle with Doomsday. 4) Let's not forget Inner Gang also use Apokolips weapons. So I believe Darkseid will be the big bad for next season. While Inner Gang being the midseason bad guys. 5) Will Superman be over powered next season and Jonathan develop new abilities? Also did anyone catch Jordan saying he heard something to. After Jonathan said he heard Tal screaming? 6) Tal technically used all this chaos to perform a jailbreak. Him bolting to Bizarro World was a smart move. To live out the rest out his days as a normal reformed Kryptonian under a red sun. Like always guys FANTASTIC reactions. 👍🏽

What I loved most about this season is having story beats carry over from the first season. I really want them to lean into the X-Kryptonite storyline in season 3. Ugly and Intergang are great for why the X-K is being made into a drug. What bothered me most about most of the CW DC shows was them always starting back at 1 in a new season and ignoring character development!!

I was under the impression that this is Earth 38. The earth that is meant to be ‘our’ earth. The 38 is meant as an homage to the year 1938 when Superman first debuted in Action Comics. So this is Earth Prime. At least I thought.

I'm pretty sure that Lois and Bizarro Lois merged. BL was on the porch watching Clark and the boys and then was just gone, blipped back to Bizarro World perhaps. Then, in the jail scene with Ally, Lois could understand Bizarro Ally and was asking questions about being whole while wearing a worried expression. And while it's no where near proof of my theory, I'll point out that the last Lois Lane comic published back in 2019-20 dealt with the idea of multiversal selves being combined, and it was strongly implied in that comic that the main continuity Lois had done this. I wouldn't put it past the writers of this show to draw on that story for inspiration.

I actually thought the same. There was something strange when questioning the Ally twins and also I felt something might have happened with Bizarro Jordan as Bizarro Lois seemed hyper fixated on our Kents interactions and not trying to see if her son or dad had come over as well.

I enjoy this season. That scene of Superman landing on Earth releasing all that energy, visually that was stunning! I am amazed this is on The CW. The things I do find lackluster in this season was Ally as the big bad. I couldn't care or find any thing interesting what Ally was doing. OP with the energy drain by holding her hands in the air like it's the force. Would of prefer her draining energy by touch like Parasite. Hopefully, next season we get a better villain. Intergang and Bruno Mannheim were name dropped. Ties to Apokolips perhaps?

@@JoelMiller431 depends on how you look at it, the way I see it is that this S&L earth also went through a crisis alongside the others and there were S&L earth versions of the other heroes like arrow and flash etc. but the heroes didn't make it out alive and that's the event diggle mentioned in season 1, also S&L diggle is just from this earth. To me that actually explains the existence of the DOD's super School, they want to make more heroes because superman is the only one left, maybe season 3 will have some flashbacks and show the crisis event from the perspective of S&L earth, IDK I just don't find the lack of arrowverse connection confusing, honestly I would've found it confusing if it was connected to arrowverse.

So season 2 superman was dealing with headaches from Bizzaro and maybe season 3 he deals with a rare kryptonian cancer or something like that.

It was confirmed by Todd that other heros exist on that world but they're human, like Oliver (well he's dead there as well), Diggle and now John Henry, but Superman is the only hero with super powers on that earth. So he's the only super hero but there have been other heroes.

@@IRON5 No, they just weren't aware the multi verse still existed but had been reformed, We as an audience were let know that it still existed via Titans, Doom Patrol, Stargirl, DCEU heroes and then Naomi. The multi-verse still existed after crisis but those on earth prime didn't know.

I think the show was intended to be in Earth Prime at first during Season 1. They planned for a crossover with Batwoman but couldn't due to COVID. They shot a scene with a picture of Kara and Clark but that got deleted. Diggle's appearance is the only evidence that Superman and Lois is in Earth Prime. Leading towards the end of Superman and Lois Season 2, shows like Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow got canceled. The Flash is ending in Season 9. So, I guess the showrunner, Todd Helbing, has to backtrack and have Superman and Lois takes place in another Earth apart from Earth Prime.

This show knows how to end a season. Last season also. They do an epilogue to wrap up things. Like Jordan and Sarah. On the Diggle thing, they say it is a different Diggle so I just say maybe there is Diggle and Oliver so maybe just some non powered vigilantes that never got big. So no Supergirl, no Flash but Green Arrow and Argus and such.

I had been thinking this was the same earth that Kara was on and that Lois and Clark had twins on this earth because of crisis but General Lane said there are no other heroes on this earth other than Superman so it’s not the same earth, Kara isn’t on this earth. This is great in one way and disappointing in another. It leaves the door open to Kara being introduced down the road and the part being recast and heroes starting to turn up. I don’t think this Superman can be involved in CW crossovers. If Tyler does he’d have to wear the old suit that Supermen wore on that earth, it’s really confusing but it makes better sense of Kara not showing up all this time.

Diggle gave up the ring, he doesn’t have it anymore, WB doesn’t want the CW doing anything with the character until they get their show on HBO max. As far as a Kryptonian suit, Kara had one when she lost her powers and it protected her from kryptonite so that suit might be something similar that Jonothan gets. If they do bring in more heroes, I so hope they do what they had planned to do in Arrowverse and introduce the actor Daniel Gilles as Bruce Wayne. I think he would play so well up against Clark’s farm boy. I don’t think JorEl is coming back at least for a few seasons. I could see the Crystal repairing itself and then calling to Jordan from under the tree so that he gets his own fortress.

I am glad you guys didn’t touch so much on that arrowverse issue. I agree that, going forward, they could do a reboot on all the heroes already shown in arrowverse. My favorite part of thhis show, as always, is about keeping it grounded. The characters, the acting, the visual effects, the writing, I guess all of it? Anyway, I am enjoying this show very much. This season was very fun! Not as well written as the first season, but still very enjoyable and I can't wait for next season. I'm glad this is set on a new earth/in a new universe. The arrowverse is dead, sadly going out with a whimper rather than a bang, so it's better to let a new tree grow from the stump than try to save the old tree. It's been so fun watching this season with you lads! I've enjoyed your discussions just as much as your reactions, and I can't wait to watch season three you all! Stay Legendary!

Confirmed by the showrunner or not, this ain't a new Diggle. This is the same Diggle that had the apparent Green Lantern call at the end of Crisis and has been show-hopping ever since. This is the same Superman and Lois that at the end of Crisis had two sons (to Kal's surprise). The showrunner and the writers are just once again ignoring continuity. This show is great but I hate that they ignore continuity. It can be part of the Arrowverse and still be independently a great show. The very first breakdown in continuity was with Supergirl's vs Superman's fortress. Supergirl stored weapons at the fortress on her show that were confiscated by Superman. The second breakdown in continuity was that suddenly, Superman/Clark did not make a single appearance in any of the Arrowverse shows, but Diggle appeared in all of them, some more than once.
