I think the reason Clark punched the earth is because he just saw it work on Ally to split her apart. I'm not sure, but I think the stone that fused Ally in the first place was called the Oblivion stone and I think it was called the moon stone at one point, so that could be why sun energy worked on it.

It just appears to be bad storytelling if we have to guess. I'm not salty...I love the show overall, i just felt the finale fell a little flat.

@@KalElCanFly Yeah I agree, it definitely fell flat for me too...I can still enjoy it but I had to turn my brain off more than I was expecting so that was disappointing. I think the main issue was that they didn't develop Ally enough, and thus nearly everything pertaining to her fell flat.

This episode had so many visually stunning sequences and great character emotional beats. I like how we have some small hints at season 3 stories but like season 1 this is a self contained story. Intergang likely an ongoing story as that also links back to the comments made by Lois earlier in the season that someone big was funding the X-K operation, looks like as Chrissie knows the secret we'll have some reporter Clark again, also there was something slightly off with Lois questioning Ally that made me wonder if something happened with her & Bizarro Lois when the worlds reset, Jon starting to learn about Kryptonian tech and the family fortress. I've said it before but the casting of Tyler and Bitsie has worked perfectly, I've loved the development of John Henry & Natalie. I think if this show is going to spin off any characters it should be them but I'd hate to lose them from here, I also think this show will be the one to set up Diggle's 'Justice U' spin off and maybe send Tag off with him. Setting this show as another universe and not earth prime makes so much sense and opens up possibilities whereas being on earth prime closes down so many stories. The show can now avoid the constant "where's x, y, z hero' when anything occurs, when realistically with the status of the AV shows and actors being done with it we know they're not going to show up, so I'm happy to see this show do it's own thing.

The X K storyline intrigues me so much! Mainly because I didn't expect it to be turned into a drug but when they introduced it - I was like this makes so much sense! I would love to see some people who are starting to show side effects like Bizzarro Supes was! I like the Arrowverse actors but I don't like the shows and stopped watching all of them a long time ago. Originally I wasn't going to watch Superman and Lois because of how much I had come to dislike the Arrowverse. Glad I gave it a try I was hooked on episode 1. I hope they find some cool ways to introduce some of the old heroes but I'm not mad that it's not connected with the Arrowverse anymore.

superman & lois take place in a universe seperate than the supergirl show. that's a different superman than the one on that series.

Diggle name dropped Bruno Manheim which traditionally leads to Lobo, Apokolips and Darkseid. So season 3 villain teased there.

The cw shows were cancelled so they're attempting to explain away events best they can, I'm sure the network is just as disappointed as well. So this show will concentrate on the day to day of the Kent family and I'm there for it

@@KalElCanFly if you watch the interview with the showrunner it's interesting. So basically this is not the same Superman from the arrowverse. This Earth has a John diggle also. Honestly it was only a matter of time before those shows got canceled. I like the shows but the ratings were always incredibly low. Honestly the only reason I watch is cuz I enjoy the actors and actresses on each show but the woke sjw crap annoys the hell out of me. I know many people who want to watch the show but refuse to because of that. One of my friends actually said I'm not going to watch snowflake propaganda I refuse. See the people who watch now would watch regardless. But imagine how many more viewers they would have if they didn't try to get woke lol.

I loved the finale but there were some things that needed to be explained. I have filled in some blanks but they are from my own mind and not confirmed to be correct. Since Ally didn't complete the world merger they were in a phasing state and Superman releasing the solar energy was enough to reverse the process. I personally think they should've had Kal push the portals back the way Ally started the merging. The plan was originally to have the other shows connected but corporate issues prevented it - so they just summarily disconnected it. Apparently there is an interview with the showrunner somewhere with him talking about the Arrowverse connection I haven't seen it myself but another KZbinr mentioned it in their reaction video

Thank you, i will take a look for that video. We still love the show and we did mention the challenges the show had while filming during the pandemic but i think it just fell a little flat. We will still be there next season for sure.

Have you guys watched The Flash show? I was hoping Superman would eventually crossover or vice versa. It’s weird how it’s not on Earth Prime even tho there is a Superman and Lois there from crisis.

We have seen up to the end of season 6, i believe. We kind of lost interest in it after that and moved on to other shows. I do reallyt like Grant Gustin as the Flash though

There was the disappointing "resolution" to Diggle's glowing green box in the penultimate episode of season 8 of "The Flash." That storyline was a waste of two years in multiple Arrowverse shows. This Diggle on S&L is not the same Diggle as the main Arrowverse Earth-Prime post-Crisis. S&L takes places on another Earth.

Arrow come on man, like Batman. Yes they are powerful compared to maybe a average person. Superman and Flash or most any of the big superhero's with real powers, you can't compare them. Superman vs anyone its like a person throwing blueberries trying to end a blue whale.

best 2nd superman series after small ville way way better than this trash super girl series i wished supergirl to be like this amazing drama amazing acting amazing darkness and very very less Humor but it is what it is :D
