The Sophie storyline was as if the writers were trolling themselves. She might as well have been saying "These writers don't like me. These writers don't want me around. These writers always forget about me!"

The little sister that everyone forgot about. I even forgot she was in the show until she showed up again, so ironic that she felt the same way about her own family forgetting about her. I also don't get why Jordan didn't knock down the sonic villain, only the henchmen with guns. P.S. Rob rocks

I give the writers a lot of slack with Jordan not thinking to do something like that as he is a complete noob at the whole superhero thing.

This might be the best written superhero show. Tyler might be the best Superman EVER. Jonathan in this season embodies superman so well, shout out to the actor. Another amazing episode. You guys should do qna after your reactions, like Blind wave

So.... Writers room been reading the "Where's Sophie?" comments, and figured this was easier than explaining child labour laws? :)

I think so.

@@LegendsofPodcasting Honestly, as much as the meta of this was amusing as hell, it actually really does speak to how good the people working on this show are. I find myself really invested in Superman for the first time ever with this incarnation (what can I say, I've always been a Batfan, Supes just never appealed), and it's because everything about the show is really high quality - especially the writing. So it wouldn't surprise me that this little B-story was at least in part a little bit of pushback to the fans who have been a little less... understanding, shall we say?... of the logistics of making TV when there's kids involved. But even if it's not at all, the use of the character's absence to drive a B-story that addresses it in universe in a way that feels natural is very impressive. I'm going to be super sad (no pun intended) if this show doesn't get saved... somehow...

I agree with everything you say about the cancer story being great. It is a real problem that Superman cannot realistically do anything about and that is a fantastic way to tell the story. And I get the hopeless feeling as well. My dad is going through Chemo at the moment so all of those scenes are..... everything they say is correct. Especially the sense of helplessness that loved ones have through everything. Also the new Jon Kent is great, though I so far prefer the old one. Both are cool.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Thoughts and everything is crossed for him. Yeah enjoying the new jon doing a great job.

I feel like this show has a bit too many original characters. It’s hard to care about some of these characters who aren’t important in the comics and are just dealing with normal people problems. But still a pretty great show

The Superman stuff is the only part that interests me tbh and Jonathan
