thank you so much for showing this. I've always been more of a visual learner and watching your workflow while building up an actual comic page for print helped me out immensely. I really hope you can show even more in the future.

Mr. Lee, your video is removing so much of the fear I feel in my own development process. There is so much ease to the opening part of your process that makes the final result make so much sense. I didn't know I needed this video until I saw it. Thanks!

I use to do comic pages in high school for homework. I wonder if I practice more I could slowly reach your potential Mr.Lee? I did a pretty great job my first time around. I just want to be able to get to your level and be able to perfect the art. Still I draw every day , almost the whole day, even though I actually work on other things like writing, athleticism. By the way, It is a great honor to finally be able to see a pro artist show his work to the world on KZbin. I think all of us are truly great full. Looking forward on seeing the next stream, goodbye for now.

its practice and process. it doesnt look like he does thumbnails and that saves time. he starts with gestural drawng and then renders from there. when you draw the human body enough you intuitively learn how it moves. you should read drawing comics the marvel way.

Jim, you mentioned FedEx drop off in the video. Any reason why you aren't scanning the work to e-mail to Scott Williams?
@nickchavez10506 жыл бұрын
Henry Martinez, Scott finishes the penciled piece with his inks so it’s one finished piece vs having one penciled piece and a blue lined inked piece. Typically done that way for sale on the comic art market

@joshuakusuma59536 жыл бұрын
ArachKing I don't follow. This Superman's already been the Pre-Flashpoint version since Rebirth started. Hell, even before with the Lois and Clark miniseries.

joshua kusuma Only up until the storyline with Mr Mxyzptlk from last year, where he merged with the resurrected New52 Superman to form 'Superman Reborn' a mix of both. I don't like it one bit; wasn't needed at all.
@joshuakusuma59536 жыл бұрын
ArachKing No. I'm pretty sure it's still the same Superman. Their histories were merged to be better in sync with the current universe but in terms of personality, age, amount of experience and everything else, it's still the same Superman from Rebirth and Lois and Clark.

The people in those live chats really should get themselves a comics education, the one trolling, is obviously trolling but the people trying to correct them, seemingly never heard of a jack kirby or steve ditko, and like the rest of the world give stanley lieber the 90% credit for everything that happend and happens in comics.. As a kirby fan, it's frustrating to constantly hear people parrot themselves over and over. with out knowing what their talking about.

At first i thought these panels are done in a big scale like at least 5x larger or 2x larger than these at least the "first panel/box." (Wherein the explosions and all were showed.) Cus i would love to do comics too but more like in your style jim. 4 me its fun drawing small details and big scenes in a small spaces. I mean 4 me if its to be done in a bigger scale than what u are doing it will feel like work and it makes me feel lazy and i like i dont want to finish these anymore if i am to start. Is comics really start with these small panels? At least in ur style jim? I hope im making sense. I dont speak english. Ths is the best i can express myself in english. Thanks jim. I really likr the details in ur drawing esp. The vehicles. Cus im more like into people. 99.99% of my work are into people and faces and anatomy.
