Superman's strength variea from writer to writer, movie to movie and sometimes even scene to scene. In man of steel, supes could not really lift up a really huge metal A structure next to the dock and afterwards fell into the water and fainted for a little. And also in one of the scenes at his job, when he was in a ship a human was able to push him down. And in the new 52 v1, he lifted up a truck overhead but then said his hands were getting tired. So yeah, him lifting up the weight of the earth/sun or whatever really does not make sense compared to these other scenes. But hey, comics!!

Superman I actually a pretty interesting character in the comics in my opinion. His stories show a person who is so powerful, but can not use his power because of how much destruction it can cause to the people around him, and shows the toll it takes on him. That why I'm interested with Batman v Superman, because it shows why he has to restrain himself due to the events of Man of Steel. People need to realize that the powers of superman are not supposed to be the most interesting thing about superman, but the person superman becomes and struggles with, with those superpowers.

Some of the feats were stated incorrectly, Superman didn't hold a mini black hole he only held a machine that contained a black hole. And a little bit of gravity was coming out of that machine, which put a massive strain on him, so he never did hold a mini black hole. Also it said that the ball of radiation would have incinerated him as soon as it touched him.

It was stated in the _daizenshuu_ , or dragon ball encyclopedia that Heaven and Hell along with the Kai’s world are all the same size as the normal universe. And Goku almost destroyed them all in three punches. And all the way back in the saiyan saga he was on a spaceship that was trillions times faster than light and was able to dodge meteors on it. Not to mention his ki alone shook the World of Void, which is confirmed to be infinite in size. Plus he was fast enough to move while time was frozen.

The more I hear people describe superman'.s power set the less interesting the character becomes. The idea that he could, at anytime be strong enough or fast enough to alter the fundamental forces in the universe, the less sense any prolonged conflict makes sense. I will concede that I came into my greatest experience with the character through the DCAU. Had I read more of the comics as a child and he was pulling stuff like this I would have likely never appreciated the character at all.
