that was so much fun. Lex is such a great villain. u never knows what game he plays. even if Superboy realy won the game of chess, does not mean that he is smart enough to withstand lex manipulations and scheming. so excited for what is to come.

It will be interesting to see what Lex Luthor has planned with "The Rising" that he refers to. I do not believe that Jon could defeat Lex at Chess unless Lex allowed his arrogance to get the best of him - which it did. I agree with your sentiment that Lex will likely be setting Jon Kent up for a fall by 'winning' Jon over thereby leading Jon to believe that he is a changed person. Jon will be inclined to believe Lex because Jon will believe that he has succeeded in reaching Lex in a way that his father failed. But I speculate. I like where this plot line appears to be going.

I will say you have a great point that it is ridiculous Lex lost. He would not lose to Jon or Clark let’s be real and I’m not challenging the El’s intelligence at all here. Still nice to see just like Clark saying he’s done with the games with Brainiac. Really curious if your theory holds weight Lex will not take this sitting down. Superman still has the best point here. Clark never asked for confrontation if anything, he fully acknowledges Lex. But honestly what would Lex really have to gain taking out any Superman rather than being productive shaping the world a different way

@Comic Breakdown This is why I never could get behind Superman. We as human beings don't like each other. We have racism, slavery, we rape and kill, and all that. So think what would happen if an alien comes down from space shattering your whole belief system. You would go nuts. And the fact that these God-level entities could at any point be mind-controlled or have a really bad day and snap puts me in Lex's corner every time. Hell, even Bruce realized this was what the whole Tower of Babel storyline was about. Even Amanda Waller is like "he may save a puppy today, but what if he wants to stick his hand through the president's chest tomorrow." If we actually look at our human analogs in comics I think most people would be surprised at how much we are on the other side of that black and white line we like to draw in comic books. But I'm putting way too much thought into this because comics are about escapism at the end of the day.

I hope Lex lost but I know...it's not true and I know for a fact that Lex is the one who set up those robots to attack his building. Lex is going to play Jon so hard it's going to be such a train wreck to watch cause Jon doesn't know what Lex is like. The one thing Clark should have done at least before leaving is teach Jon about Lex not warn but teach him. But you know in the end Lex...he...nevvver learns his lesson ever and he never will. I'm sure in the end Lex is going to get his a** handed to him as usual cause he likes to play with 🔥🔥🔥. 🤣 Or Jon will be or play the innocent dumb kid and be his puppet forever which I am for sure won't happen IF he beat Lex. 🤣
