I personally hoped for a more Art Deco, retro-futuristic look for Metropolis (though we still haven't seen the entire city yet), but I'm loving the Daily Planet and how colorful everything looks. It has a timeless yet modern feel, with some Snyder vibes, but it's much more vibrant visually, which I really enjoy. It feels like a blend of every past rendition of Superman. I also love the Technicolor-inspired 1970s color grading in the Metropolis scenes. It gives the city a timeless quality that perfectly suits its aesthetic. I just hope we see more Art Deco, retro-futuristic buildings. Maybe that’s the vibe LuthorCorp will go for in this film, evoking a more retro-futuristic look. Lex will then take over, rename the company to LexCorp, and we’ll see his impact on the city, introducing more retro-futuristic aspects. At least, that’s my guess.

The only suits in my mind that really symbolize Superman, as a character and as an entity for good. Is Christopher Reeve's suit, Henry Cavill's suit, and the rare glimpse of the Kingdom Come Superman suit that Brandon Routh wore in the Crisis crossover on the CW.

I personally like the suit, but i get the hate. From a production standpoint having it baggy on set for the actor. Its great they can maneuver more and im sure easier to use the restroom. But that layer of cgi to form-fit the suit does tickle my uncanny valley in a uncomfortable way

I’ve been proven right and wrong before. I’m biased because I love Superman. I watched the Reeve Superman, Lois and Clark(reruns), Smallville, justice league unlimited and the Bruce Tim/Diniverse. I’m always hesitant with new projects but I’m choosing to be optimistic on this one. Based off of what Gunn said he was basing this universe on…I’m excited. I feel like this is an important movie so Gunn would take it more seriously than just a peacemaker project.
