I'm a longtime animal crossing fan so watching everyone get overexcited, time travel/binge play, beat the game as quickly as possible, exhaust all the gameplay loops, and then drop it, is so frustrating to watch. I'm still playing every day and having a great time but now no one wants to play it with me anymore :( I guess for everyone else it was just a fad or whatever, but these games mean SO much to me so it hurts to see it just get discarded like it's just a trend.

Hey you beautiful SuperMega boys, you could still “time travel” like in the other Animal Crossing games- but to do so you’d need to change the time and date in your Switch itself

I mean, you always had to change system time for time travel anyways. So its the same process as the gamecube

AppL Thats true, I’m guessing they assume there’s no time travel because there isn’t a direct “change time” option within the game settings like there is in New Leaf. But hopefully they realize it is still possible

Is there consequences for doing this in New Horizons? I'm considering it because after 6 hours I have nothing else to do until my Museum and Tom Nook shop are complete ... is it worth it?

This video captured a moment for me. I had just turned 21, got laid off from a job i was sick of and The new animal crossing was coming out. I had watched the Animal Crossing GameCube series on the channel and playing new leaf. I remember getting drunk watching the Drunk Drawing episode and just past 10 that night they posted this and had a moment of joy while my young adult life came to an end.

Despite everything, we still had good memories with these boys, even if they do decide to stop doing supermega. It's the feelings we captured from these memories that matters the most, and I think I will always revisit them with open arms.
